Despite clear evidence of mold caused by multiple water leaks, Arbor/Elite Homes repeatedly denied its existence. A third-party mold inspection company, hired by Arbor/Elite Homes, confirmed mold contamination in our home, and I personally witnessed the inspector removing mold. Yet Arbor/Elite Homes changed their story multiple times, blatantly lying about the presence of mold to avoid liability. This unethical and potentially criminal behavior endangered my family’s health by exposing us to toxic mold without timely or proper remediation. Ongoing Leaks, Incomplete Repairs, and False Claims Leaks persisted after multiple attempted repairs. Several windows required repeated “fixes” but continued to leak, damaging drywall, insulation, and carpeting. Repair work was even reported as complete when no actual repairs had been performed. We were forced to repeatedly prove these failures (we have all the documents). The company’s negligent, superficial approach caused additional property damage and health risks. Prolonged Home Damage, Health Risks, and Disruption The home remained in a perpetual state of repair for months. Multiple rooms were gutted, with drywall and insulation removed around windows. This is where my kids slept. Hazardous chemicals were sprayed to kill mold while our three children were still living in the home. Our kids suffered persistent coughing and other health issues for months, severe enough to keep them home from school. The constant repairs, chemical odors, and presence of contractors disrupted daily life and caused significant emotional distress. Financial and Emotional Harm Because of the health risks, the lies, and the home’s unlivable condition caused by ongoing defects and failed repairs, we were forced to sell the property at a substantial loss. We lost over $50,000 on the forced sale (for our mental and physical health). Beyond the financial loss, the experience caused lasting mental and physical harm to my family due to their dishonesty.

Other than the salesman being non-responsive, once things got moving the crew was Great.

Well I've had on going issues with them. Basically there is a lot of issues after the home was built that they sent someone out to fix and the way that they fixed it it was not done correctly I found out that they didn't use proper insulation they were a lot of things that they did I mean l've lived in our home for three years and I still have half of my step is cracking and it's just bad material and they just basically saying that it is what it is they basically told me before I should put closed on my house if I don't like it and I figure to sell both of my house to someone else. I highly recommend nobody use them again

They were very nice and welcoming and answered all of our questions with the building process. They made sure that we understood everything and really helped us out and walked us through the process.

Our experience with Arbor was GREAT! Every step of the way they were there with us and for us. We had tried to work with another builder previously that had led us astray and were unsure about starting the process with Arbor due to past experiences. If I had to build over again I would choose Arbor hands down. Great family company.

The experience has turned out fairly well. The sales manager that we worked with, was great, his customer service was great, and he was the highlight of the whole thing. He was very easy to deal with, and he answered all the questions quickly.

House is poorly built. Nail pops, doors not lining up, pipe in the hallway bathroom hits the wall every time the toilet is flushed (plumber said insulation most likely came off so pipe is hitting wall) driveway shifts whenever weather changes, vaulted ceilings look like they are pulling apart at the seam. Overall just poorly built. It's partly my fault for building a house that takes 45 days to build but I was 22 at the time and didn't know any better.

Things went well, despite massive turnover. The communication lacked, but we definitely are happy with our purchase.

I had regular meetings with the company before starting the work. I used to come over to check as to what was going on. If there was something that I didn’t like, then I told them about it. I met them at different points throughout the building process. The people in their sales office which was located close to where I had my house built were really friendly and helpful. They were good too, but I had some issues with some of the contract work that was done and I told them about the problem. They did fix what I complained about, but not necessarily what I wanted. There was a dent in the front door and so, I wanted a whole new door, but they just fixed the dent. If they change some of their personnel, then I think I might hire them again.

Excellent built home. No warranty problems. We got everything we wanted for the money. Because they are not discounting their house a bunch it does not take value away from the home because we live in the neighborhood.

We were very pleased with our new house. Anytime there has been something wrong they have fixed it. I know a lot about home construction and we were able to pick out things that most people wouldn't which they were able to provide. They would leave a paper on the window if there was anything we needed to be fixed and they would always take care of it. Since we've moved in we haven't had any problems. They are very on top of things.

The Superintendent, Jeff, was very nice in answering all questions prior to closing. He takes pride in the work of all his homes and makes certain that I was happy with all the work accomplished. If there was anything I felt needed attention, Jeff made sure it was taken care of to my satisfaction. The home is beautiful and I've enjoyed living in an Arbor community.

We were extremely satisfied with both the sales manager, Dawn, and construction supervisor, Jeff, at Avalon Springs in Avon, IN (an Arbor Homes community). They both were very helpful and professional throughout the whole building process. In any new home construction, problems will arise, but both of these people were always there to see that the problem was corrected and our questions were answered. Our experience was very positive.
