Amos Exteriors Inc

I never write reviews but this time I feel I have to. I met with Amos to reshingle my house after a hail storm that was covered by insurance. The sales person was awesome. He was relatable, friendly, knowledgeable, etc. Really liked him. I told him that if there is any rotted wood discovered when they shingle my house that I would pay out of pocket to get it replaced. He said absolutely. Shingles were laid, gutters were hung--looked great. I walked on my roof and in one place it was extremely soft. The plywood underneath must be rotted and they just shingled over it. Then they said they were going to wrap my windows (covered by insurance). I call or text my rep 15 times and may get one return phone call. He says he has to come out an measure. He has no called/no showed three times. So, I am not sure the job will be finished. They already have the insurance money. I trusted them and I am paying for it.

Employees were drinking alcohol and leaving beer bottles in my yard. When I reported it to the company their comment back to me was they’ve had this issue with this crew before. They would never show up when they said they would and they would never called to say they We’re not showing up. Took two months to do a one week job. The worst experience I’ve ever had with any company in my life would never use again.

No Communication: Silence, even when specifically requested. Around August 17th a request for an estimate was submitted to Amos, for siding on a ranch home. Took a couple of weeks to solidify a date/time for the estimate. Then an additional week + for the estimate to actually appear in written form. Was briefly notified of an approximate time of delivery of service between 4-6 weeks from time of estimate for completion of work. Then, that date changed to 6-8 weeks, (which would have been November - early December 2021). Even into December, there was no invoice delivered as requested, to see that the products were ordered for this project. The house was full defaced and ready for the new Hardie Board siding. Amos was not. Increased heating costs over Winter months were paid, since there was air coming through the front door/opening in front of defaced house. December 9th, 2021, was the last communication from Amos, only because there were messages left of the status of the project. The 6-8 weeks passed and now into the now 8 months of no completion of the project. (March 2022). On March 19th, 2022, reached out to Amos again to obtain an update. Nothing was known. Then, all of a sudden the Hardie Board order magically appeared. Now, because there was a complaint and request for a refund and speak to the owner Rob Amos, it is a rush to complete the project. The purpose for this complaint; no call from Owner, No refunded monies, and no further calls past March 22nd to rectify this project. Company cannot be trusted. Resolution: full refund so may hire another company and complete my house project. A company that is willing to complete even a smaller project. Most of all that will communicate with a customer. Plenty of people were involved and notified of this issue.

The roofing service went well but the gutter division is poorly managed and was a disaster. Unresponsive. Did not show up when told. Never walked the job when they were done. Never followed up to see if I was satisfied with the work. Would never use Amos again.

This is my second experience with Amos but the first project has yet to be completed (window replacement) so I'll update my review after that, BUT - Brian Clampitt came and fixed a roof leak and took the time to find the leak. I've had two other people come out and not take the time to find the actual issue and just suggest I replace random expensive things. Thank you SO much for spending your evening with us and I hope you get some good rest!

Estimate done, work scheduled and completed in a very timely fashion.

They stayed with me through the whole process of fighting with my insurance (over a year and a half) until the work was completed. When the gutter and roof line didn’t look right they came back out in a timely manner and fixed it. My roof looks great and they did a fantastic job at cleaning up afterwards. They really want to do the job right.

We were in a preventive mode and had no emergency to push us into making a quick decision. We chose Amos because another bidder was not responsive to questions after their bid was made. We also have a relative who had used Amos for their new roof and rated Amos very highly for the work performed. Amos's rep Zach Hile was very responsive and helpful with the bid he submitted. We viewed many samples to select the shingle pattern we finally settled on. Zach was a huge help. As the work was being performed, an in-process inspector came for independent review several times during the day and afterwards. We also elected a gutter screen system, that was installed a few days after the shingles by another two person team, and the inspector returned to check that also. So far we have had no reason to contact Amos for any follow-up issues.

Roofing Repairs

Amos Exteriors did an outstanding job! They arrived when they said they would, did a tear off, installed a new roof, 42 squares (including skylights) in one day. They did an excellent cleanup, gutters and downspouts were installed the next day. Chris, the project manager was a pleasure to work with he was very professional, knowledgeable and has excellent communication skills.

Philip Perkins was FANTASTIC to work with. Very knowledgable, very professional, very personable. He kept us informed about the dates the crews would arrive to put on the roof, and to replace the downspouts and gutters. He assured us that the crews would be thorough in cleaning up after their work. We did not find a single nail in the yard after both the roof and gutters were finished. Both the gutter crew and the roofing crews were professional and hard working. There was no loud music from either group (which has often been the case in our neighborhood from other roofing crews). The roofing crew arrived at 7:00 a.m. and finished at 10:00 p.m. Like I said---HARD WORKING!! Our neighbor lady called us to inquire who we had used. She is rather hard to please, but will be using Amos Exteriors to replace her roof, gutters, and to have her house painted. A DEFINITE 5 star rating for your company!!!!

Everyone I interacted with was courteous and professional. This was the second time I have had work done- at two different homes, and I have been pleased with the work.

Chris and JR were great to work with. I took a lot of time to decide on the color of shingles we wanted on our new house. Chris provided me with addresses for houses to go look at and he followed up with me over a few months to see if we had made any decisions. The installation crew was awesome and took care to protect our pool and pool equipment from falling debris. Couldn't be happier.

It went very well. I have had many compliments on the work that was done.

Everything went great! I received quotes from three (including Amos) roofing companies when I noticed a leak in my kitchen and two of them told me I needed a whole new roof and the quotes were outrageous! Amos checked everything for me and found a few things that needed repaired. I did not need a new roof! Amos has always been very honest and upfront about the cost and what needs to be repaired. They actually installed my original roof 15+ years ago and it is still in great condition!

I had a great experience with Amos Exteriors. Scott Terry the project manager was very easy to work with. He made sure that our job would be completed within the time frame we needed in order to sell our home. Scott was very quick to answer any questions we had and stay in communication with us from start to finish. I would highly recommend Amos Exteriors to anyone looking to have a project completed

Jon was amazing! He was very responsive and professional. He came out quickly to assess the damage and then to replace the missing shingles. He exceeded our expectations. We plan to hire him for when we do need a replacement roof and for any other home improvement needs. Thanks, Jon!

They did a great job all the way through with the quality of work, product used and great follow up. They also will be doing some painting of our garage doors and house doors when the weather gets warmer. I would suggest them completely!

I previously had given this company a unfavorable review. The company owner promptly contacted me about the issues and then he came out to redo the inspection and correct issues that were included in the coupon deal. He was professional and caring. I believe the issue might have been with the employee or maybe the corrections that were to be made and the report just got lost in the shuffle as things happen. I would call on this company again
