This company came out and quoted me $960 for a garbage disposal replacement. They are crooks.

Very well. Charlie was incredibly accomodating with scheduling. Seth and Chris were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Would definitely hire this company again. Love my new pedestal sink which was truly professionally installed.

I got a replacement water heater from Lowe's and purchased the installation for $275.   American Company was the company that handled the installation.  I bought the water heater on Sunday afternoon and received a call from Dan @ American Company on Monday morning around 8:30 am.  They indicated they would be out between 11-1.   Received call around 12:30 that they were on tneir way.   
Upon arriving, they discovered I purchased the wrong type of water heater, so they went back to Lowe's to get the correct one for us.
Once they got pack, the new water heater was installed within 30 minutes.
No issues.   The guys were very nice and presentable.

I called American Company on 7/17/2014 and spoke to a very matter of fact and to the point man who scheduled my appointment for today, 7/21/2014. He told me the repair visit would cost $175 if work was performed ($55 if they didn't have to do anything to the unit) and that the guys would call me between 8-9am the day of the appointment to let me know when they would be able to be out to my home.
I received a call from the service guys at 8:15am this morning and they informed me that they would be out to my home between 12-3pm. They also went over the price with me again and asked if I would like a phone call prior to them coming to my house to let me know that they would be on their way which I said I would like.
At 12:25pm, I received a phone call letting me know that they would be out to my house in about 20 minutes. Sure enough, they were here within 20 minutes.
The guys introduced themselves, went straight to the hot water heater and got to work. They got the hot water heater to make the noise that I have been hearing and did some troubleshooting to see if they could fix the problem. They even flushed out the hot water heater some to get the pieces of sediment out that had accumulated in the bottom. After about 30 minutes of trying to find the problem, they were out of guesses. One of the guys told me he was going to call another guy at their company and run it by him before calling it quits.
Sure enough, they figured it out! The guys came back downstairs, pulled out the heating element, twisted a part back into place, put it all back together and fired the hot water heater back up, and we all crossed our fingers. We all sat there quietly waiting for well over 2 minutes to see if the banging noise would happen again and the banging never happened!
I have been living with this annoyance for months and have spent way too much money trying to get to the bottom of this mystery and it only took these guys around an hour to figure it out. Not only were they nice and professional and tidy but they were personable and they took the time to perform several troubleshooting tasks that the other companies never even bothered to try. I will be using American Company for any future work that I need to have done and would recommend them to anyone in need.

Mike from the company called and told me he held up at the previous job and would miss the appointment. When he was done at that job he called and I was unavailable so he waited until I returned home to do the job. The total instal took less than an hour . Mike was professional and the faucet looks great.

The gentleman that showed up to install our new water heater was very professional. He called to arrange a time on the pre-arranged install date and showed up pretty much on-time. He took care to not to damage anything in our house when he hauled the new heater to the basement and again in hauling the old one out to his truck. The installation was neatly done with everything cleaned up when complete. And, most importantly, no leaks!

THEY GAVE ME THE INFORMATION THAT I NEEDED FOR THIS PROJECT THAT LOWES DID NOT. THEY SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. WHEN THE MAN DID THE CAULKING IT WAS VERY NEAT AND LOOKED VERY GOOD. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY OVERCHARGED ME ON THE PARTS. THE WORKMEN WERE FINE.

THE PEOPLE WE SPOKE WITH ON THE PHONE WERE HELPFUL. SHANE CARMICHAEL, THE INSTALLER, WAS ON TIME, POLITE, DID A GOOD JOB AND CLEANED THE AREA WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETED.

ORIGINAL INSTALLATION OF WATER HEATER LEAKED AT ONE CONNECTION. THEY USED SUBSTANDARD MATERIALS (THAT MET THE CODE MINIMUM) IN THEIR REPAIR. THEY PROBABLY HAVE THE CONTRACT TO INSTALL WATER HEATERS SOLD AT LOWE'S BECAUSE THEY'RE THE LOW BIDDER. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL ONLY CONTRACT TO CREDIBLE PLUMBING CONTRACTORS.

THE FIRST INSTALLMENT OF THE WATER HEATER WAS A MESS. THE REPAIRMAN TRIED TWICE TO FIX IT PROPERLY. FINALLY HE SAID HE COULD NOT. THERE WAS STILL GAS EXHAUST IN OUR HOUSE. FINALLY MY HEATING AND A/C COMPANY FIXED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. THEY DID THIS IN ONE ATTEMPT.
