Allied Drywall Services LLC

I needed a room in the basement finished by 12/19/2013. These drywallers  were supposed to start on a Saturday 120/7 at 8 AM on an already framed and ready room. They never showed up. The framer placed a few calls to them, (he hired them for us) and they said they would be there two days later (Monday) at 8 AM, They never showed. I called the guy that manages the workers that day, and he said " they didn't show up? I'll have them there tomorrow at 8 AM . never showed. I called again, was told they would be there 8 am the next day. They showed up at 12 on Wednesday, delivered some drywall and left and said someone would be there to hang it in the morning at 8 AM. They did a very sloppy job. So did the first mudders who came to tape and mud the next day and only stayed 2 hours the next day, late in the day and only did 1/4 of the job. They said when they left they would be back on Saturday 12/14 at 8 AM and never showed. I started to get other estimates because as far as I was concerned, they were fired. Monday morning the mudder returned-not to work-to pick up his supplies to take to another job and said he would be back later to finish ours. I told him not to bother. His boss came later to apologize. I told him he had been fired as of last Saturday. Another thing, every time they had been out, they tore up my wood floors to get to the basement. We had a snow, and there was salt on our walk. They put down paper and walked AROUND it! My floors looked awful ! The owner of the company called, and said they had been out of town and had left the job in the hands of an evidently unreliable worker, and asked for a chance to make things right. I said ok, even though I had a lower estimate to finish the job. They sent someone to mud and tape and stamp the ceiling in the next 3 days, and said when the painter finished the primer they would have someone there at 8 :30 AM the next morning to sand before the carpet came at 10:30 am. guess what? he didn't show up. After I tried to call the owner when he was an hour late and got voicemail, I called the supervisor who had come out on that Monday and he said "oh he just called me-he got lost he will be there in 10 min." I said "He just called you and he was supposed to be here over an hour ago?" I was on my bank website debating whether or not to stop payment on the check when he finally arrived. If he does not clean up the floors etc when he is done,so the dust is not under the new carpet,  I still may do that. I will never use this company again.
