Our home had experienced some moisture stains on a vaulted ceiling in the living room and a vaulted ceiling in a bedroom.  This had been caused by improper installation of insulation when the home was built 30+ years ago.  There was insufficient airflow and during very cold periods, moisture that had accumulated above the vaulted ceilings seeped through.  A few months earlier, a roofing company had corrected the ventilation problem.  Now, we needed to clean up, repair and repaint the stains that had occurred in the ceilings.  Joe used bleach and Killz before painting those areas to make sure there was no mold.  Also, a couple of years ago, we had another contractor replace some rotted cedar siding on the exterior of the house.  This included some boards on either end of the walls reaching the high vaulted living room ceiling.  Those workers (whom I would not hire again) apparently used very long nails in securing the siding, as the nails went completely through the wallboard and could be seen in the living room.  However, we did not notice it until sometime after the original workers had left.  The nails were in the walls some 20 feet or so high.  We needed to have those nails cut off, covered and painted over.  Joe took care of all of that and was extremely careful and thorough about doing it.  He also repaired a crack that had appeared over time between the wall (where he had to do the nail repair) and the slanted deck that ran from the clerestory windows above the living room.  While he was on the ladder, he also voluntarily washed those clerestory windows, which had never had a good washing since the home was built, because they are so high.  When he observed that the slanted decking did not have a very good coat of paint, he went ahead and painted it.  He also caulked some areas around the clerestory windows that had never been properly caulked. These little extras were all done for no additional charge, but just because he was working in the area and it was relatively easy to take care of them at the same time.  It made the whole project look very good.
Joe also helped us with our leaves by using his leaf blower on the roof to clear the leaves from the roof and the gutters.  He also cleared them from around the foundation plantings and blew them into the lawn, where we were able to take care of the remainder of the leaf cleanup.
Joe was prompt and thorough and meticulous about making everything look perfect.  He showed up on time, worked around my schedule and completed the project in the estimated time frame.  I would definitely use his services again and, in fact, have already scheduled another project.
