I had a sump pump malfunction in February of 2009 which left my carpet soaked and drywall damp. After learning that my insurance did not cover damages or restoration services because I did not have "sump pump loss" coverage, I was worried. I called a couple restoration companies only to receive verbal estimates of at least $1000 to $2500, without them even seeing the damage. One company came out and still could not pin down a more exact price after seeing the damage, even though I would be paying out of pocket. A friend recommended Advanced Services, as he'd used their services several times for apartment cleanups at a former job. A phone call to them at 8:30 in the morning lead to an Advanced Services truck being at my house before noon. Their team came in, took care in moving my furniture as needed, extracted the water from my carpet padding and carpet, "floated" the carpet to get air circulation underneath, applied mildew resistor and disinfectant to the carpet and left things to dry over the weekend. They explained that since there was no standing water the drywall would dry on it's own (which it did, no problem). It took 4 industrial carpet dryers and an industrial dehumidifier 3 days to do the job. Advanced Services staff were able to adjust their arrival time to recheck the drying to accommodate my schedule. After drying was complete they were able to re-lay the pad and carpet with no noticable damage from the water! They even cleaned the carpet before they left!! (Re-installation of carpet and cleaning were not included in estimates from more expensive companies.) The workers were punctual and polite. Overall, Advanced Services prices were between 30 to 60% cheaper than it would have cost to go with another vendor, for the same type of equipment rental. Plus Advanced included more services (carpet re-installation and cleaning) for less than the other vendors estimates. After recieving my invoice, I noticed that I was given a discount for being a cash based (not insurance claim) customer. It's nice to know that there are still small, locally owned and operated companies that will take into account your personal situation and provide discounts to individuals, not charge them what they would claim from huge insurance companies. I was VERY pleased with the service, workmanship and value and will definately use Advanced Services again.
