I took my car in on a Monday without an appointment. They said they would try to get to it that afternoon or on Tuesday AM and would give me a call. After not hearing anything all week I called them to check on the status on Friday. Aamco replied that the service tech had taken a look at the car but was at lunch and would give me a call back in 1 hour. I never received a call.
The following week my ex took his vehicle to Aamco where upon he was told that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. Aamco called and left a message that 2nd week that they couldn't find anything and to pick up the car.
I went to get the car I asked what was found. The attendant replied that they couldn't find the problem and that they discussed it with my husband last week. the attendant got the keys and brought the car to the front lot... when he went returned into the office I told him that I didn't appreciate the lack of communication about my car and that he never called and what ever discussion he had was with my ex. His response was to shrug, walk away to his office while I was talking and to say there's the car and the keys are in it.
So my car was in their possession for 18 days (a big part of the delay was I went out of town on Saturday of that first week. Since I didnt have my car or know it's status I had to borrow a car to drive while I was gone.)
In the some of those 18 days.... they promised twice to call and did not. They never discussed my car, it's issues, what, if anything they checked out. They discussed my car with my ex without my knowledge or permission. Their sole communication with me as their customer about my car was one brief answering machine message to pick up the car and an employee walking away from me.

We have a new to us truck that we thought needed a whole new tranny but, after taking it in to AAMCO, they told us that after some simple stuff changed out, it should be good to go. So far, so good. It still halts or revs a little between gears but, if they said it's good to go, they're the experts! They also let us know that if ultimately it needed more work, they wouldn't re-charge us for the items/work already done which is nice.

What a horrible Experience here, First They Misdiagnosed a issue with a wheel sensor for a front differential costing over $800. Then the manager Dwayne was not willing to fix the issue which it still had even after the repair was done. Why would I pay over $800 to have the same problem as when I brought it in. No business sense at all and on the phone would side step the issue. I would avoid this place at all costs. Its funny too because they have a bunch of negative reviews posted on there board about Edwards transmissions when in reality they need to correct there own terrible customer service.

"WOW, WHAT A REVIEW! It scores a strong 9 on the 10 point PANTS ON FIRE scale. The facts are: #1 AP Auto is a used car lot that bought a 04 Escalade at auction with a lot of problems. #2 On 11/6, [Member names removed] dropped vehicle off stating there was a differential noise and instrument cluster problem. #3 AAMCO diagnosed vehicle and recommended 6 repairs (there were more issues). #4 They wanted it repaired cheap using parts that they supplied. #5 On 11/6, AP Auto authorized a differential repair if we could complete it in one day. They subsequently repaired three items themselves that we recommended. #6 On 11/7, vehicle was delivered for approved $829 and we reset steering angle setting at no charge. #7 On 11/8, [Member names removed] called complaining of a noise. Dwaine was not available to respond because of a major medical consultation on 11/7. [Member names removed] was told that Dwaine would call on Mon, but he threatened bad reviews would be posted. #8 On Mon, they brought vehicle in and we found the noise was from one of the items we found earlier. They insisted we repair at no charge. I had over 100,000 miles on my truck and felt that it was time to change the transmission fluid and have a general check up on the transmission. I called their office and made an appointment. We were able to schedule a time that I could drop off the truck and get the work done. Not much to say as they did what I asked and everything was well with the truck. Nice facility, and courteous workers. I have used them before and would go there again if a problem came up.

We have had no problems with the transmission since the work was completed. The staff was friendly and responsive. During the initial break-in period, there was a slight problem with one of the solenoids and they took care of it very quickly without additional charges. We are very satisfied.

I had a transmission failure that required me to have my vehicle towed in. I knew when it happened I was probably looking at either a new transmission or a rebuild. They phoned me the following day and outlined their process and what kind of expense I'd be looking at. The initial work was completed in two days, but when they test drove it, they realized their was a problem, which added a weekend plus two more work days to resolve. I suppose you could say they were at least honest enough to recognize I had a problem and fix it before sending me back out on the road. The service ended up on the pricey-end of the range for my make and model, based on the information I researched on the internet.

I have been going to this aamco ever since they fixed one of my car's transmissions. They were great, their service was top notch. Very friendly n truly customer service service oriented

Took vehicle in to have skid plate secured and sound investigated. Sound turned out to be the loose skid plate and was fixed when skid plate was secured. During inspection a couple of other issues were discovered. Was advised of issues, cost to to correct, and severity. They were very friendly when explaining the issue and cost to fix, but did not try to pressure, use "scare tactics", or over state severity of issue to push for immediate repair like some auto repair businesses.

All went smoothly. We had the car towed for an inspection. They were very quick and took the time to explain and answer my many questions. They had the car for a week and were willing to talk to me by phone or stopping by to check on the progress. So far so good with the work done, it has been a month now. Went in for a month check and was in and out.

Went as expected. Went over details and covered all concerns related to second gear transmission before beginning work. I knew what to expect and what options were available before work started. Vehicle is Ford 250 with over 100,000 miles at time of repair.

They were also very professional. I knew it was going to take awhile to have the job done. I think they had the car for about a week. They had said to make sure to keep an eye out for any leaks. When I brought it home, I did have a leak so I had to take it back in. They went ahead and repaired that leak as well. The work turned out fine. My car is running the way it should now. The price was comparable to the dealerships. I think now that I'm a customer of theirs, any repair work automatically entitles me to a 10% discount. That's good as well.

Very honest, did not recommend the big fix or replacement although explained that might be a possibility if replacing sensor did not work. It worked and at a much lower cost. I don't remember the actual cost but I know my son (his car) was overwhelmingly relieved.

My husband has taken all of our cars there in the past. Everyone was very attentive. They explained the bill to you and nothing was done with out your permission. In particular. Dewayne Parker, the master technician, he controlled the show. He did a great job for us. He oversaw everything as we were going.

Excellent. They test drove the car and inspected it first for any issue. Then flushed and filled the fluid along with changing the filter. After 100k miles the transmission was due for some TLC and shifts smoother now.
