"We are so sorry you had a bad experience in our salon. Admittedly, we did find ourselves with some staffing issues last year. I am happy to say , we have had the same natural nail tech with us for over a year now. We know we are not what most people expect when they come for a mani/pedi. However, we do so with the knowledge that our way is safer and more environmentally conscious. I'll admit I was reluctant about going - but I'm happy to say this experience was MUCH better! I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist when I walked in the door and she let me know that Brittany would be ready soon. The receptionist offered me a drink and noticed my interest in some of the jewelry on display and invited me to check out the boutique upstairs.
When I came back down Brittany was ready for me and she immediately introduced herself to me and walked me back to her station. She was a doll - I'd go back again just to chat with her. The only suggestion I'd have is that they could stand to expand their available colors, I was looking for a basic red and they didn't have it. But Brittany helped me find one that worked and we both ended up really liking with.
I'd definitely recommend a manicure with Brittany - she was great! It's 5 days later and my nails still look amazing.
I get that the salon is supposed to have a "homey" feeling, but it was pretty cluttered. When I walked in there was a pile of sheets on the coffee table, no one was at the receptionist desk and a staff member was taking out trash through the front door. After several minutes I was greeted by the woman who ended up being the massage therapist I had an appointment with but she didn't introduce herself to me until she led me upstairs, it was very strange and awkward.
Everyone is different in what they look for in a massage, but for me I want it to be a calm and relaxing experience - one that I am comfortable with from the beginning. The massage itself was good - although there was a bit too much chit-chatting going on from the therapist for my liking. Don't get me wrong, she was very nice, just a little too chatty.
Unfortunately for me this first impression will stick around and I likely won't go back for massage services.
"I apoligize you were not met and greeted when you came into the salon on your first visit, you are our priority and we work hard to make everyone feel welcome. No excuses, but we are in a very high wind zone and probably had to move all of the signs because they had been blown down. I will speak with our massage therapist and make sure she realizes she needs to introduce herself and be less chatty! I think what you thought was trash may have been our towel service (he now goes through the back door)removing dirty towels from the salon...and might be the reason the sheets were out front( Therapist in service) but they still should not have been left out front? we had a lasp in front end help/ receptionist around the time you visited...we are now fully staffed agian! I thank you for re reviewing our salon after your mani. and am happy to hear your experience was better. My apoligies for your first impression , but I do appreciate the information , so that I may make the necessary chages. we hope to see you again! You can always stop in anytime and shop our Unique Boutique, now located downstairs, and whbne you do please introduce yourself to me...so that I can thank you personally for your interest in a Sign of the Tymes salon!"
