They are very professional. I think he is a good doctor. We have a new doctor with them, the other one retired, but I felt he knew what he was doing. The interaction was okay. The result didn't restore much sight, but it wasn't anyone's fault. The building is rather fault, but the facility seems clean enough.

Staff was friendly, Dr. Giesel was thorough and pleasant.  I felt like I could ask questions and receive honest feedback.  I definitely recommend this practice.

Everything was just ok. The staff was not overly friendly, but the Dr seemed nice.

My glasses were very expensive and when I called back to change my lens preference I was told that when I came in to pick up my glasses that I just needed to bring my credit card and they would credit the amount back to my card. I brought my card when I came in to pick up my glasses and I was told "that's not how we do it, we will mail you a check and it will take several weeks to get your refund"

I spoke with a manager and he said he would see what he could do and call me back. Two weeks later he called and said he was still looking into it and would call me back. He never did! I called and he didn't even remember who I was. After being put on hold for several minutes he came back and said to come in on Monday (this was Thursday) and he would refund my money. I went in on Monday and it took less then 5 minutes to credit the money back to my card.

Fine - I saw Dr. Giesel since my previous doctor in the practice had retired.

Staff was very helpful. There were some problems getting insurance figure out but I left it all to them and it was taken care of promptly and correctly the first time.
Exam was very thorough and I left feeling very comfortable with my choice.

The employees behind the reception desk were busy talking between themselves when I entered the store. I was advised that they recommend a retinal scan and provided a document to read describing the procedure. When I asked if insurance covers the $45 price tag, I was told no. I did not accept the offer nor decline it. I assumed they would ask when the time came to perform the test. Four tests were performed by a knowledgable technician who spoke very quickly and quietly. I often only heard part of what was said. I wish she would have spoken to ME and not the wall or machine as she prepped it.
The eye exam by the doctor went well. During the visit, I learned that one of the tests was the retinal scan. Although I agree that test is helpful, I did not agree to the test.
I knew I needed new glasses so made the decision to purchase them at this office. My final cost was more that I was expecting but it had been a long time since I had purchased glasses. Prices do go up. Several days later I reviewed the receipt only to find the original price, before insurance, was 4 times higher that anything I have ever heard of! My glasses do have bifocals but this final price is outrageous. The woman who took the glasses order kept saying I have good insureance. They added options such as Crizol lenses without consulting me. She worked from a laptop computer and never once showed me the options and their prices.
Even though the eye exam seemed well done, I will not go back.

They have been fine. If I have an emergency, they get me right in. They are attentive, they prescribe my contacts, they prescribe my glasses, they do refractions, and they do everything I need.

They're fine. The place was very small but it was okay. I thought the price was a little high.

I went to see him because of pink eye, but he didn't wash his hands. I don't have any problem with his diagnosis. He seems to understand the clinical aspect of things, but I can't ignore the fact that he didn't wash his hands. Otherwise, he was very friendly and thorough.

An optometry student did the vision testing and the ophthalmologist did the exam of my eye health. The wait for the exam was brief. The exam was thorough.

The results were great. A secondary cataract was identified and removed and my vision improved dramatically. My previous eyecare provider was unable to diagnose my problem.

It went well, he was a friendly and competent surgeon. He called the evening of surgery, as a follow up and I saw him in the office the next day after both surgeries. I had a total of 5 appointments at his office. Was well pleased with the doctor. One of the office nurses, I felt, was a little short with me on a couple occasions. She tested my eyes after surgery and I feel the prescription for lens is not correct, but my overall vision post surgery is good with monovision lens implants. The glasses are just to improve my reading ability, but I am not using them. I had the prescription for glasses filled with my local optomitrist ,so at my yearly appointment I will get his opinion on the glasses.

He was very nice, genuine and extremely personable, funny and professional at the same time. His office staff went out of their way to make me feel at home and at ease. The woman in the Optometry center even helped me look through some specific frame types for my husband, even though he wasn't there. She wrote down the item #s, so we can find them easily when he comes in for his appointment next week. The office was huge, waiting area for comfortable. I am super glad I found this place!

Overall, this visit was a big disappointment. I have been searching for a quality eye care provider for a long time, and when I saw the reviews of 2020 Eye Physicians on Angie's List, I was excited to try the provider. I saw Dr. Michael on 12/20/2012. The office staff were extremely rude and unhelpful and had to direct me to other desks in the same waiting room for help. There was a very disconcerting "not my job" attitude amongst the staff with whom I interacted. After almost half an hour, I was finally able to get back to a waiting room, where I had to wait another 20 minutes for an optician--not Dr. Michael--to come into the room. I didn't know that she was performing the actual eye exam and do not feel as though I was prepped well enough. I am 31 and have had glasses since I was 13, contacts since I was 14, as well as some odd focusing issues that have required numerous office visits over the years and many eye tests, so I know the drill. This experience at 2020 Eye Physicians paled in comparison to other providers I have been to in other places I have lived. After the disorganized testing, my eyes were dilated, and I had to wait another half hour for Dr Michael to retrieve me and perform additional exams. While he was nice enough, Dr. Michael's bedside manner left much to be desired, and he did not communicate well or check the prescription that the optician came to through her testing of my eyes. As a result, my eyeglass prescription is incorrect, and I will not return to this provider. Dr. Michael has since retired, and I waited several months to see if my prescription was truly incorrect, or if I was just having trouble adjusting. I have had plenty of time to adjust, and my prescription is not right. I'll be locating a new provider soon and getting a new prescription. Overall, based on the entire 2 hour ordeal (waiting room, two exam room waits, and issues with the office staff when checking in and checking out), I would not recommend this provider.

I checked in with the receptionist. She was welcoming and efficient. My wait to start the appointment was reasonable. Vanessa came to get me and started my check up. Vanessa was fantastic! She put me right at ease and had me laughing. She was also thorough and professional. If something came up funny, she would double check it, which I greatly appreciate. She answered my questions. Then I met with Dr. Gesiel. He was friendly and also answered my questions. I look forward to going back and have recommended the practice to my family.

They are very good. The doctor that I was going to has retired. He was very good. They run on schedule and they do not keep you waiting a long time when you have an appointment. They are very thorough and the receptionist are courteous and efficient. He is a doctor of ophthalmology. I did not have to wait long to get an appointment when I first started and then they set you up on a schedule with re-checks.

Appointment went very well. Sometimes the Billing side is questionable (billing for things that were already paid or something that was supposed to be a discount, billed a long time past appointment).
