"Hi [Member Name Removed]. apologize for no response. I have no record from Angieslist of an inquiry from you for assistance. I have in the past received email notifications from Angieslist for inquiries made by their customers, however, I have not received one for quite some time from their automated mailer. Please feel free to email me directly and I'd be happy to assist you. Either of the following email addresses, which are linked together, will work. Tim Quigley - Owner [email protected] or [email protected]"
Afterwards, he cleaned up the mess and did not charge extra for the additional time it took to make everything fit together. The door works perfectly and smoothly.
"This report seems to be filed with an incorrect company listing. I am the owner, and we service any and all doors and have no particular allegiance to any one manufacturer. We not only service what we install, but we service most products installed by other vendors, and have always done that. I do not know this individual, nor am I aware of any of my associates knowing him. I am not familiar with any of the addresses that AngiesList has on record for him {of which there are two]. I would be happy to talk with this individual about whatever problem he has. I would appreciate it if Angieslist would correct their records since this report does not apply to my company. TimQuigley - owner"
Tim offered me a repair and a replacement option and fully explained the pros and cons of each option. His pioce was about the same as the other estimate, but I went with 1 Hour Door because of the thoroughness and the professionalism that was demonstrated during the process.
It was a good decision. The work was promptly and expertly done (did not hold up my kitchen floor remodel significantly). I opted for replacement of the door with an upgrade to interior blinds. I have dogs and they are rough on the 2" wooden blinds that were up there before. The door gets used at least 4-5 times a day. It is a great looking solution! I wish I had done this earlier.
The door is installed better than the original door and has hopefully solved what was a poor installation by the builder 13 years ago.
"As stated by the customer, we had done prior work for him and was rated “A”. We were asked to return and work on a door handle/lock that someone prior had installed because it would not work correctly. We returned and charged a discounted service call fee since they were a returning customer. The door latch was repaired so that it would close and latch. The customer was given the choice of a very snug fit or one that wasn’t as snug since their latch had some play in it. The customer opted for a snug fit which was done. When we left everything worked as requested. All I know is that the entryway has a lot of traffic. The customer called me prior to this report and I called them back and left a voice mail stating when I could come out to fix whatever the problem was. (I still do not know what the problem actually was) I did not hear back from the customer until this report was made. I assumed in the interim that the problem with the handle had been resolved since I did not hear anything back. As a general policy, if we make a return visit for something we worked on, we typically don’t charge for the return visit unless there was an additional problem/issue not related to the original work performed. Since we did repair the handle originally and this was confirmed by the customer, I don’t feel that a refund is due."
I then called him on the morning of 3/22 as the news began forecasting a large winter storm for 3/25 and I asked him if he wanted to reschedule. On the evening on 3/24 he sent the following text: "Ryan, I did get your voice mail and will plan on rescheduling sometime this week. Want to wait until we get through Monday see how the week looks thanks Tim" - That was the last contact we heard from him.
He never followed up and never texted or called after 3/25 - We will be seeking a different provider to fix our door.
Matt and Tim both made this home improvement project easy and stress free. I can't wait to use them again.
