Unfortunately the bathroom remodel was a huge disappointment. It looks nice but the bathtub doesn’t drain properly. It just floods the kitchen below. We have asked time and time again but they will not come back to correct it. Very shocked, we had planned to trust them on another project before all this. I’ve even sent the videos of the water pouring down my kitchen ceiling. We already paid them before we realized this huge problem. Now they just ignore all requests for correcting the plumbing issues. Now I have to pay another contractor to repair all the damages.

Luis has completed several projects over the years for myself and my neighbors. I’m very happy with his quality at work and dedication to do the job right for the right price! I’m looking forward to working with this company in the future for other projects!

Luis did a wonderful job for us on very short notice. Water damage was found during a home inspection caused by a poor tile job on a master walk-in shower. Luis managed to squeeze in the work and get it done prior to a closing deadline. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and paid attention to all the little details that lead to a job well done. We would definitely go to 123 Steps first for any future work like this. Highly recommended!

Luis is very professional and helped us through the process of remodeling our basement. The basement turned out great. We added a couple projects and luis helped to keep our budget on track. We are planning to use them again to help remodle our kitchen.

Luis and his crew are the best! We wanted a new bathtub and shower with tile, a ceiling fan, and some drywall repairs. He helped us from beginning to end, advising kindly and expertly on design and tiles, materials, and other options, always considering our goals and budget. He was by far the most flexible contractor we spoke to, of several. The work was excellent, and they completed it on time. He also came back personally to fix one minor complaint we had - it was minor enough that I wouldn't mention it otherwise, but it shows that he stands by his promises. We hope to use 123 Steps again for other projects.

Luis provided the beautiful end result we were looking for. He was honest and provided a vision of the project. The workmen were courteous and friendly. They worked around our schedule and did not rush any part of the project. When an issue with the chalking was discovered after the project work was completed, Luis returned to ensure it was fixed. The project included tile, custom shower, installation of vanity, plumbing, and fixture install. Our bathroom remodel was exactly what we were looking for. We would highly recommend 123 Steps General Contractors.

Great! Luis & team were able to work within my budget and still achieve a better than expected outcome. The house is a 1920s bungalow in SoBro. We were able to collaborate on the design in order to remove a wall to open the kitchen up to the dining room. They installed beautiful new tile, cabinets and new appliances I bought. They coordinated install of granite counter tops and quality was good on that. In the bathroom, they were also able to rework the layout, install new tub, toilet, plumbing, tile and vanity in order to modernize and open up the bathroom for more light.

GRRRRRRRRRRRREEEATTTT!!!! Luis and his crew knocked out painting my living room, dining room, hallway, and stair well in next to no time! They were quick, got in, got out and did a perfect job at a great price!! Will use again often for any home service needs. did drywall work

Everything went great! I was a little unprepared to start such a big project but they worked with me and everything was completely as expected.

Luis is great to work with. His team worked on two projects, the first being a remodel of our master bath. I had a lot of things planned out, but once we got together Luis provided some great ideas. Ideas that come from experience. He has a good eye. We got a work plan together, I bought the material and he immediately had us scheduled. His team worked with our schedule. At the same time, I felt very comfortable leaving them to work on our house. They worked with our pets so they weren’t affected. His team also were great about protecting our house during demo and reconstruction. The bathroom was completely gutted. They removed the drop ceiling and widened the entry door with a pocket door. Put in a larger shower, glass door, new vanity, radiant heating and did a great job on the tile. There was a snafu with the vanity (not 123 Steps problem at all) so it slowed down the work schedule, but that was completely out of Luis's control. It was completed in the time amount he said it would. I completed the painting and a fixtures and LED lighting. We are very pleased at our bathroom completion and would hire his team again.

Luis and his staff are top notch! We pre-purchased shower, toilet and vanity; his crew installed everything perfectly.

Project went well, cleaned up after work was completed

Went great. Luis was professional and friendly with his approach thru completion. His workers arrived each morning on time and worked throughout the day cleaning any mess as they went along. I was able to purchase the items I wanted and his team picked it up. I am very satisfied with the way everything turned out and how they allowed me to be involved with some of the decisions. I had them also come back to remodel my laundry room. I would recommend.

Luis and his team were so professional and caring. Luis was very helpful, knowledgable and explained what needed to done to correct what a previously hired contractor had botched. Luis and his team worked diligently until they were able to remedy the previous contractor's work. Luis and his crew did great work. They were fast and cleaned up as they worked. He was also helpful in making suggestions about additional repair options in the initial appointment. I would have them do work for me again. I found the price to be reasonable. The only issue I has was in some early communications. Once we got rolling everything went smoothly. We are happy with the results.

Luis and his crew did a great job for us. He walked us through the process and advised us on tile, fixtures and design options. His crew showed up every day as planned and finished the job on schedule. They were very careful to put down protective plastic on our floors and carpet from our front door to the master bath and protected our existing vanities and master closet with plastic from start to finish as well. They went to great lengths to minimize dust from the project, and cleaned up the area each day after their work to minimize the pain that could otherwise exist on an 8-day project. The finished project looks great and we now actually like taking a shower again! We are 100% pleased with Luis' team's work and will hire again for sure.

Overall, we had a very favorable experience with Luis and 123 Steps. Below are more comments on the individual grades: Price: The price for our project met expectations. I used a program to detail out the projected cost and 123 Steps came in very close to my projection. I will say one company (Lowe's specifically) gave me pricing 40-50% higher than I was expecting. The fact Luis provided detailed pricing helped alleviate my concerns of hidden costs sneaking in after the project was started. I really appreciated the pricing transparency. Quality: We were satisfied with the quality of the bathroom remodels. They look great and it was encouraging to see all of the steps Luis and team took building the shower including all of the water proofing. I also believe he was knowledge based on some detailed answers regarding potential options for our bathrooms. Responsiveness: Luis was quick to reply during quoting and answer questions during the project. He even came back after we paid and signed off when we found some trim in the garage we forgot to install. The best example is he answered about 15 questions for me within 24 hours regarding the quote. Punctuality: Luis and team was always punctual - his team was never a bottleneck in our project - any delays were in receiving product we ordered for Lowe's/Prosource. Professionalism: Luis and team were very professional and friendly. They worked on time, were super productive and friendly with the whole family. My two year old loved waiting at the end of the stairs to greet everyone as they went up and down the stairs to the job. I was very happy with the experience and final results with 123 Steps. This is really the purpose of Angie's List - to find great contractors you could never find on your own. I would certainly use 123 Steps again and recommend them to friends and family.

Everything went great it is a good company and has good people

Job went very well. Workers were very courteous, prompt and hard working. Worked six days a week and showed up each day without fail. Covered floors and furniture to minimize dust and dirt during job. Cleaned up all work areas including garage where materials were stored. Contractors communicated with us before, during and after the job on all details and were responsive to our questions and suggestions.

123 Steps General Contractors did a great job and we continue to admire their handiwork. They performed the work on time and were professional and terrific to work with. We would hire them again.
