A locally owned company for more than 40 years, W. A. Zimmer Company offers a large showroom at the East edge of Huntington, Indiana just off US24 at Broadway. You will find full-size sun rooms, maintenance-free aluminum pergolas, stylish patio covers, shower & tub replacement systems, quality retractable awnings and shade screens, as well as replacement windows and doors on display for your inspection. Installations are performed by employee installers who are covered by insurance to protect you. If your home is located within 60 miles of Huntington, you are in our normal service area. Our first step is to gain a complete understanding of what you want to accomplish, then use our 40+ years experience to create a design, value, and installation that will meet or exceed your expectations.

Salesman was very helpful in the purchase of the awning.. the install guys were prompt and very professional in the process. They did not leave until we were told the process of each aspect of the awning and how it operated. We were also give instructions on it care.

We are happy with the finished product, but install was delayed and the manager was rude to us when we were upset that they delayed it. They also ordered the wrong kit parts which delayed the install after it was half complete. We wanted to make a change and the installer was very nice but his boss, the manager, made the issue very difficult. Eventually, the installer (who did a great job) was able to get everything done to our satisfaction. So we are happy with the product and the installation as well as the installer, but the manager was difficult to work with.

The production manager who was perceived as rude is one of the best employees I've had in my 41 years of business. I'm not disagreeing that he was frustrated by a supplier regarding the "parts" mentioned and that may have spilled over to you as rudeness, but his intention is always to provide results beyond customer expectations. I regret, and apologize that in this situation he did not. I am pleased to hear that the completed project is satisfactory and you are happy with the product, installation and our installer. It went very well and the job was completed earlier than we had expected. The two gentlemen that did the work was very polite and friendly. It was a pleasure to watch them at work and be able to ask questions about the process as it was being completed. They answered all of our questions in detail. It was a pleasure to talk with them and our little dog enjoyed them also.

From the very start, the staff showed us all our options and helped us select the three season room to fit our desires. The work was scheduled and concluded in a most professional time and manner. The getting of permits and cement work went smoothly, meeting our desires. The erection of the room was quicker than I had imagined even though they had to modify the original room because of the structure of our house. Things were finished and the area cleaned up leaving it like no one had been there, except we now had a three season room. Thanks.

We had contacted W.A. Zimmer Co. because several of our neighbors have had work done by the company and they were very satisfied. We have seen their completed room additions, in person, and like them very much. If our situation had not changed we would have had them build our room addition. If we ever need a seasonal room or room addition we will call W.A. Zimmer Co.

We got estimates from 3 providers in the area. This one gave us the best product for the dollars. As we were designing the room and trying to stay within a budget, the owner came to our house along with his salesman. They used computer modeling to put in various features as they described them and showed us what they'd look like in our room. Since we were using it for a hot tub, they suggested fiberglass doors and vinyl windows and walls. They also suggested a special flooring that was impervious to water, should we have a failure or leakage from the tub. This is not an aluminum and styrofoam room, but completely stick-built to specs. They were able to start the job sooner than the other contractors, and indeed started 3 weeks after we'd signed the contract. We specified each window size, which ones were fixed instead of sliding, and where we wanted the exit door. There were a few hitches along the way, as most construction has, but they were minimal and easily corrected. We ordered a sliding glass door to go between the house and the new room, but once installed found it to be too narrow and difficult for my wife to get over with her walker. The owner found a patio door unit with an ADA threshold, the same color as our exit door, and with a much larger opening. It cost us a 3 week delay while waiting for the new door, but we didn't get charged any extra to remove the slider and install the patio door. Zimmer goofed in not ordering the exit door, as it was in the write-up but not the specs for the job. That cost a couple weeks, but ultimately didn't matter once we ordered the other door. All crews were courteous and professional, easy to work with, and did their level best to give us the best looking room they could. The owner checked on the progress a couple times and came to see the finished product with the carpet and hot tub installed. He wants to film a commercial of it for future use, it came out so well. We are thoroughly enjoying the new view and are using the hot tub twice a day for therapeutic reasons. I would highly recommend W A Zimmer Company for your 3 and 4 season room, patio room, sun room, awning and pergola needs.

Zimmer provided a great and clear estimate. They have good workmanship. They immidiately came back to fix some imperfections that I found, which was nice. I would highly recommend them.
