Osby Water Conditioning

OSBY Installed a water softener system in my new home in Cedar Lake,IN and put the regeneration and overflow to my sump pump and not my sanitary drain. Their system malfunctioned and sent salt water to my sump pit which pumped pure salt water on the side of my house, killing over 100FT of new sod. When I called and told the service tech what happened, I was told that OSBY should have never put the piping to my sump pump. OSBY Came out and said to give it a few weeks and if the grass didn't come back, they would replace. After one month they said they would not replace my sod and proceeded to tell me that they didn't need my money and if I wasn't happy they would remover their system and refund my money, of which I gladly took them up on. They refuse to take responsibility of the damage their system caused to not only my, but my neighbors grass and will not reimburse me for the $500 it cost me to have my grass replaced. This is not a standup company! They will tell you anything to sell you there equipment, and wont take responsibility when there equipment that was installed wrong, make things right. When they came to pick up their faulty equipment, they wanted me to sign a receipt stating that my floor drain was clogged, sending salt water to my sump pit. A HUGE LIE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

As mentioned, Osby came out twice to try and assess the water problems I was having. Symptoms were rust stains and black water in the tub on a Kinetco system that was originally installed int eh home back in 1996. The house had renters in it, but I know for a fact thy took care of the softener system.
Osby arrived as scheduled and tested the water. The first time they made some adjustments to the Kinetco system and changed out the filter while they were there. Overall, they said the water "wasn't that bad". Renter still complained. Called Osby a second time. They still said the water tested fine. Finally, in December 2015, I took a sample of both the hot and cold water to another firm. They explained the water was not acceptable and proceeded to explain ALL the components they were testing for. Ultimately, I bought a new pre-filter from them to remove iron before it got to the softener, which solved the cold water issues. I also bit the bullet and replaced the water heater, which fixed the hot water problems. Overall, if Osby had been honest and more diligent in their process, I may have kept my business with them. Instead, I refused to pay for the two service calls and got a rude phone call from the company who said they came out and fixed my problem so I should pay. Really? You fixed my problem? I have rust stains and hard water after you came out both times to prove you did not solve my problem.
So, they told me they will remove me from their database and I can get all my future water conditioning needs services by the other company. Well, ok. That's exactly what I wanted anyway. Thanks for being rude. I will not be returning to Osby and will go to the other company when I need any additional water softening assistance.

One of the best companies I've delt with. The rep came out (Mike) and tested the water which was extremely hard (Well water) and showed me many softner options. I went with the Kinetico system which uses no power and low salt. First to start off Mike is one of the nicest guys i've met and made me feel at ease. Gave me many different pricing options of which I took the better long term solution.  They came in and installed the unti and I've had soft nice water since. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Just a run through hard water=bad and destroys washing machines, dishwashers and water heaters.

I have had it installed and so far so god. We have noticed a difference in the water and it is for the better.  The mineral deposits aren't building up like they did with our old softener. I would recommend them to others. They got the job done in about an hour and it was quick.

They were here when promised.  Found the problem and was able to get the part and replace it the same day.

The salesman provided in depth explanation of the functionality and expected performance. He also clarified misleading claims of competing suppliers with independent corroboration. The work was done on the agreed upon date and price. Installation was professionally done. The system is performing as claimed. This is an excellent company to work with.

We called and asked the price.   A date was scheduled and they came, removed the old softner, added water lines etc and installed the new softner. 

They do an excellent job and are extremely helpful and offer suggestions without a charge. They go above and beyond.
