Complete Sewer and Drain

The owner of Complete Sewer and Drain Of Hammond Indiana (kevin Sr). Took the final $7,000 dollars I owed for a $20.000 project that consisted of inside sewer line replacement and bathroom remodleing, and disappeared. He cashed out the $7,000 check that same day and blocked calls from myself and my daughters cell phones. He never completed the work on the sewer line replacement and on the bathroom remodeling. Work began on this project on July 26th 2023 and as of this date of November 9th, 2023 has not been completed. During this time frame (before Kevin disappeared) many days Kevin and his sub-contractor did not show up to work or came late and worked only a half day. This resulted in days without a bath tub/shower or without a laundry tub to wash clothes. At one point I was forced to go 7 days without bathiing. This is a one bathroom home, and I was told the work would take only a few days. Afer Kevin disappeared his sub-contractor also lost contact with him by phone. He went to his home in Hammond Indiana more than once was told Kevin was not there. Information given to me by the subcontractor was that Kevin owed him for two projects, mine and the project before me. The sub-contractor worked on my projects two days for free so that all my plumbing fixtures in the bathroom were functional. I would like to add that I am 77 years old, my daughter who lives with me, has multiple health issues and my 8 year old grandson who also ives with me is non-verbal autistic. The lack of bathroom facilities created a profound hardship for me and my family. My mental health over the anxiety this has caused me is significant. The loss of $20,000 for a family living on social security is very hard to bear.

Kevin (the son of the owner) arrived to clear a clogged drain and main line. I let them know that it was probably rooted in the drain; it happened a few years ago. He said he would run the router machine and cut out the roots. paid him $400 because he complained it took extra time to clear the roots. The next day, it was backed up again in the toilet, tub, and sink. I called to complain, and he came back out the next day and said he was too busy. This time I was there to see, and he did the work again, and I noticed he was NOT USING THE CORRECT CUTTER BIT TO CUT ROOTS. He was using the spade cutter that only works for rust to open a drain hole. He said that is all he has, and it works fine. Then, when it did not work, he tried to tell me the pipe was broken, which is why there are roots in the drain, and went on to try to sell me on digging out the drain from the backyard. He wanted $3000 in cash for the work. I told him that he had the wrong cutter for cutting out roots, and he said do not tell me how to do my job and refused to fix the problem, which I already paid him to fix. And he left without refunding my money. They are a scam and will do anything to charge you more money for the same job. I rented a router machine from Home Depot for $100 and used the correct root cutter tool to cut out the roots, and the pipe has been running fine for over a year now. Never use this plumber; they will rip you off. I am going to file a claim with the city attorney for their scam, and they do not have a license or insurance to do plumbing in Indiana.

They did a good job, but I am going to have to remember that clean-up is not part of the deal. I still have standing water in some places in my basement. Other than that I am happy with the job they did. They kept me up to date with their progress. When they found a problem it was explained to me and the additional work, and charges, was also described.

I contacted Home Advisor on a Saturday and Kevin immediately called me. I explained my problem with my kitchen drains backing up and making burping noises. He was familiar with my problem and told me the drains needed rodding. He gave me a quote and scheduled an appt. The drains were rodded but the problem still existed. He knew what to do next going to the drain pipes in basement which were clogged beyond rodding and needed replacing. He gave me a quote, replaced the pipes within 1 hour and my drains are working good.

WARNING! a file with the state of Illinois and Indiana is being filed with each of these states as well as a pursuit to bond claim. This company is not someone to hire for large projects, Kevin sent a non professional over to give an estimate for my window well drains, because he was **low on men power** and sent the same person with another guy to fix my drain $ 2,300 job to at least at the beginning. The guy he sent kept asking for money every day because of some tragedy, tools, car broke down. He also, kept saying how the company does not want to take anything other than cash because its easier. The Mexican guy (Danny) he brought with him, did all of the work and I was there almost every hour to make sure they did what they were hired to do. the shady Bryant guy kept thinking of more work to do,but when the scam started and did not make since, I hired another company and the extra work he tried to get me to have done... was fake! 1. all equipment is rented, 2. they complain all the time 3. left garbage 4. messy work 5. try to add extra charges at every turn 6. never came back to put my concrete back 7. owner is now making excuses to now show up 8. owner is not returning messages 9. owner is not returning phone call, 10. he tried clearing my sewer line and it was not the sewer line at all. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK! if they still have their contractors license.

I read their card after they left and seen they gave senior citizen discount. I really don't know if I got a Citizen Senior discount. I paid $150.00 unclog my kitchen drain

They came out and finished the job completely the same day. I am glad that everything was finished and works extremely well.

The plumber and his helper were extremely rushed. The plumber used the manual auger for only a couple of minutes. He said the toilet was working.When he went to get the bill, I tried the toilet and it was barely moving. He got the electrical auger and tried again for another couple of minutes.The water swirled and barely moved. He said I needed a new toilet. The bill for not fixing the plugged up toilet was $140 ! Guess what? I called another plumber the next day ( XXXXXX XXXXXXXX ) who spent at least an hour using the auger and checking the sewage pipes. He got the toilet unclogged. Wish I had called him first.

They responded before I could finish filling out the questions. They came out about an hour later and quickly resolved the problem with advice to maintain it. And, they even waited while I went to the ATM to get the money to pay for their service. Thank you!

The company that I have to clean my kitchen drain were very professional.

He was a nice person. However he did not do such a good job cleaning up after the job. He left water on the floor in both the kitchen and basement and buckets with debris and water. He just left it and did not say anything or have me check his work. Additionally, he told me the work was guaranteed and just the other day, (less than a week ago) the kitchen sink had a leak. My wife called and left a message on his answering machine. He never called me back. On responsiveness is unacceptable. I had to call another plumber for another job. I had that plumber to look at the leak. It was because they did not tighten the pipes all the way. I will not use his service again.
