JACK'S HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE

Very well No Problems,No Suprises work done in a timely fashion and under budget. Old AC unit was low on Freon slight delay starting job so he filled old ac unit until they could get to us..

Of course the hottest day of the summer and my a/c goes out. I had just purchased the house and hadn't really used it much this summer. Called around for service and Jack's HVAC was the only service that offered to put me on a availability list. They called about 1:30 PM and he had it working by 3pm.

My furnace only a couple years oldand was taking to much time to kick on not heating the home properly. I called a couple places and they were either to high for one hour or did not come out on Saturdays. I called Jack's because I have used them in the past. He came out on Saturday and it did not cost me any more than what I was quoted on the phone. I've used Jack's a couple of times and was always able to get some out asap. He even told me about the air conditioner was leaking and he would come out in the spring and quoted only $100.00. I don't think this place is out to take advantage of people. Thank you.

They don't send the bill right away. They give you some time to get the payment in. All we had to pay was the service-man's call. You can call them in the middle of the night. I don't know a lot about the price. I'm sure they are comparable. They stand behind their product and clean up their messes when they are done.

The job was done in a good and timely manner but not exactly as described. The installer told my husband during initial consultation and estimate that he would put in a programmable thermostat with the furnace. We were looking forward to this and when he showed up for installation I was home and husband was at work and he denied ever saying that and said we didn't need one and installed a less expensive non-programmable thermostat. He also installed a different furnace than what was written on estimate altered my copy of the receipt of the estimate without my permission. That was very unprofessional. We hired them because they came highly recommended by someone who uses them several times a year. We agreed to pay a small extra travel fee since we were in Crown Point and their shop was in Griffith. We were disappointed and will not hire them again regardless of their reputation with other satisfied customers.
