Quick to respond to my texts and was very natural around our cats. We’re hoping she is available the next time we are out of town. She was wonderful!

Description of Work: My family went on vacation for 7 days and Marcea took care of our 2 dogs! She fed them morning and evening, let them out, and also came a third time after dinner to let them out. She is incredible!

+ -1 moreMarcea Youmans, the owner of Total Home Care, has been our house sitter and pet sitter for several years. I have complete confidence and remain worry-free when we are out-of-town. I know she will check in on our home at least twice a day. If she finds anything amiss, she will call us immediately. If the repair is within her skill set, she will fix it herself. If not, we will discuss it and settle on a contractor, and I know she will handle all the details with efficiency and competence. Our pets are very important to us so I am very particular about those we use as vets and caregivers. All our pets love Marcea and rush to see her when she comes in. She doesn't just feed them and leave, but she spends a lot of time playing with and grooming them. She is quick to notice any changes in their health and call me. In summary, we cannot imagine anyone we would rather have tending to our house and our pets than Marcea Youmans. She truly provides total home care.
Description of Work: We have used Total Home Care for many different projects, e.g. washing windows, spreading mulch, interior painting, installing blinds, etc. However, our most use of Total Home Care is as house sitter and pet sitter when we are out of town.

Description of Work: We've used Marcea before, and we will use her again. I cant say enough good things about her services. She truly loves the animals. We recently had her take our dog out when we did a simple overnight in St. Louis. She is always so kind to our animals and just a very responsible person. We plan to use her services again this July when we go on vacation and gain in October when we go on vacation. She is reasonably priced as well.

Description of Work: House sitting services were performed regularly over a period of more than year. She traveled outside her normal area for a small additional fee. She arranged for house cleaning and snow removal, and I was pleased with the service providers she selected. She was observant and made me aware of anything out of the ordinary. She shifted her schedule to meet repairmen. She was very personable to my neighbors.

+ -1 moreMarcea was great. Before she agreed to the job she wanted to meet and quot;the kidsand quot; to make sure that she was comfortable with them and that they were ok with her. She set up a time that worked for me to come meet them and to get a feel for what the assignment would be. Marcea was great with my birds, one of which can be a little moody. We set up a price and she took notes on the specifics that I requested (Feeding times, who gets what food, etc.). She was great! One of my parrots (the moody one) likes it when you sing to her, Marcea was a great sport and became good friends by singing with the bird while I was gone. The puffer fish was alive (what more can you ask for with a fish?) and as happy as a fish can be (I can't really tell when she's happy.... except that she isn't puffed up.) Overall I'd say it was a WIN! I will call her again. The birds were happy when I returned home, she brought it my mail for me and left me a wonderful note saying how much she enjoyed the birds! GIVE HER A CALL, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

Description of Work: Marcea came to my house and took care of my three cats. She fed, filled water fountians, scooped their litter boxes, sweep up litter, and took time to play with them and love on them. My cat Louie hides from everyone but Marcea actually got Louie to get on her lap. Animals seem to like her. It was an extra pain for her because our cat Coco has to be separated from the other two because he doesnt get along with them. So Marcea had to climb over two baby gates high and put them back everytime. She didnt seem to mind. She also opened a blind and turned on a light in the morning and closed and turned off the light in the evening. She also checked on the house in case anything went wrong. She told us we could call everyday if we wanted. The cats must have really relaxed with her because Louie is usually mad at us when we get home and wont come around us for a day or so. This time he was fine. Marcea called us the day we were returning and ask us to call her when we got home so she would know we made it home so she wouldnt worry about the cats. We didnt get home till 11:00 at night but she didnt mind. We would call for her again.

+ -1 moreMarcea was awesome. She came the week before we left to meet the and quot;kidsand quot; (our three cats and our dog) and she took a walk with myself and our dog that day. Kylie, our dog, loved her the moment she met her of course. Marcea came to our house three times a day and walked Kylie, gave her meds to her and fed her. We checked in while we were on vacation at Disney a few times and Marcea was happy to let me know what was going on with everything. This was our first vacation since our daughter was born so we were excited to finally feel like we could go on vacation and feel good that we had someone responsibile and dependable taking care of our animals and checking in our on house. It was a great feeling. Marcea was just very, very nice and great with the animals. I would and will absolutely use her again when the opportunity arises. I would totally recommend her to anyone who is thinking of kenneling their animal for a vacation but would rather leave them at home. If they can handle being at home while you are gone - call Marcea.
Description of Work: We took a family vacation and have an old dog on several medications who we just cannot kennel. We needed someone dependable to walk her three times a day and give her meds to her. Marcea did this as well as checked the mail and checked on our three cats.

She is very good with my dog as well. I have never left my dog with anybody else before. The price she charges is fine. She has worked for me for nine years. Later in the year, I contracted her to stain a rather large deck which she completed in record time. Marcea has been providing me lawn services all summer including trimming hedges, mulching and weekly mowing. It is such a pleasure to have one stop service provider with someone you can trust. Her prices are very reasonable and she is professional and prompt.
