Sales talk of 1+ hour, indicated work could start in 3 weeks. However, it was 3 weeks before I was scheduled for a further 6 weeks out. Then weather delays meant another 3 weeks. All the while they had my 1/2 down deposit.

Sat through hour plus sales talk, then arrived at a discounted price (don't take first price offered). Salesman indicated they were working 3 or so weeks out from contract signing. Actually, it was 3 weeks before project mngr. called to set up appointment for installation, which was another 6 weeks out. After weather delays, work was finished well over two months after contract signing. It was hard to get the manager on the phone during much of this wait time. But the installation was well done and the gutters are of high quality.

They did an excellent job. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

This was a three trip process - plus follow-up. The first visit measured the house and established the contract, which was very reasonable after some negotiating. The second trip formed and cut the primary gutters in preparation for mounting. The third crew removed the old gutters and hung the new ones along with new downspouts. Unfortunately they did not follow the directions from the primary order and a repair crew was called out to add the originally specified second downspout from the back roof after a hard rain confirmed that one was not sufficient. There were a few cosmetic problems caused by the installation crew who were apparently in too much of a hurry to do the job right. Most of the cosmetic problems have been resolved but we are still working on some small ones. Customer service is generally responsive in establishing scheduled repair work, but rain or other complications get into the way. We are still working with the company and so far they have been cooperative.

We first had contact with gutter shutter at the home show. Entered to win free gutters. They set up an appointment to come check out our house. After an hour and quot;presentationand quot; we decided that it was something we needed and we were going to get the work done. The quote started at 9 grand...and that was their best offer. After going back and forth deciding if we wanted to get it done this year or wait until next year the quote magically came down to $4700 so we signed the paperwork. The representative who gave the presentation raved about the company and their customer service, so we thought we would be in good hands. She also mentioned that their gutters were approved by our historical society so we had no worries there.
After talking with some neighbors we learned that we had to get some special permits to get work done on the outside of the house. I called Gutter Shutter to see if they knew anything about that because they told us they were already approved, and their response was and quot;I don't know, I would go find out yourselfand quot;
They were supposed to Install on a Friday and we were told that the workers would be there Thursday to drop off all the materials. Nobody showed up, nobody called, and no materials were dropped off. I had to run around town Friday morning frantically to get this permit so they could do work and as soon as I got the permit taped to the front of my house they called to tell me that they couldn't install on Friday. I asked when the workers were going to drop off the materials and they told me it had already been done. I went to the back of the house and told him nothing was delivered at all. He assured me that I would be contacted by the workers to set up a time for them to deliver the materials before their install on monday. We have a locked gate, a dog, and had a specific place we wanted the stuff put so it didn't ruin our grass, so I waited all day Friday to hear from the crew as to when they were going to drop off the supplies. I heard nothing. But to my surprise when I got home Friday afternoon, I found all of the materials in my backyard. Nobody called to confirm, or ask where we wanted the stuff placed, and they left one of my gates open and my dog had a nice run around the neighborhood.
They finally came to install on Monday. It took a day and a half. During our initial presentation we were told that when the work was completed they would walk us around the house and point out what they did, and if they had any problems. That was not done. They just had me sign papers and zipped off to their next job. We have since been collecting screws and metal pieces all around the yard. Luckily the dog hasn't gotten to any of them yet.
We were very disappointed with their service. So far the gutters look fine and have been doing their job, but after hearing about how great their customer service was during our initial visit we were expecting professionals. We would not recommend them to our neighbors.

The work was done all in one day. By the time I arrived home from work at 5pm, they were finished. My husband watched the whole job and was impressed.

Initially we were happy the product. There was no separation from the building for the first few winters. Then, this winter, we had a lot of snow and ice. When spring came, we noticed the gutters were not working correctly. We called, left a message, and they called back. We didn't finally connect with them until June. They said they were going to come out on a thursday, but he didn't show. He came the next week, but we were not there that day (because they came unannounced). Last thursday, 6/27/13, they came out when our builder was here. They claimed there were people on the roof, and that since there were people on the roof, that made voided the warranty. They were actually repairing their awning, which is 8-10 feet down from the roof. The builders were not on the roof at all. Then, they tried to claim it was an "act of God" since it was caused by ice. The further away from the building, you can see shininess on the gutter where the paint has chipped. So on top of everything, we have crushed gutter hoods, and chipped and peeling gutters. Between blaming it on our builders, and this "act of God", they have thus far not held up their end of the warranty. $5,000 just shot. The fact is, they said it is guaranteed for life, and they have not stood by that. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend them with every bit of my being. We are so disappointed. All they have offered to do is touch it up, which will not fix the problem.

Overall good experience, the gutter covers keep debris out of the gutters. My only concern is that in the winter snow and ice build up on them.

Just a little problem with communication. They came earlier without calling and had one day not coming without calling. The job was completed and we are very satisfied with the work and the product.

Excellent experience. The salesman was very nice and I could not have asked for better workmanship as I went out frequently to observe them working. (I was worried about them working in the rain and wind at times when this was a roofline installation on a 3-story home.) Gloria O'Shell, 1909 N. They were very down to earth. I didn't think that they were trying to cheat me. They were honest and they did a good job.

Instillation went very well but the product has failed miserably. I have had multiple issues with ice damming, leaking, leaves piling up all the way back onto the roof, water overflowing etc. I have been trying to work with the company for the past 5 mths to resolve these issues with them dragging their feet the whole way. They have agreed that their product does not work and to return my money to me but I have yet to see it. Apparently I have a "unique roof (Cape Cod house?) and tree (maple?, ash?, walnut?, beech?) situation" and that is why their product is not working. I have asked for the exact amount to be returned to be specified before I would be willing to sign their release...... still nothing. Not the kind of company I would ever recommend doing business with.

I was contacted by The Guttershutter Co who wanted to give me an estimate on new gutters. The salesman was very informative explaining their product as well as their competitor's products. The Guttershutter product is a and ldquo;no clogand rdquo; system with a conventional gutter covered by a hood to prevent leaves from clogging the gutters. They are large gutters made of heavy gauge aluminum with a good method of fastening them to the house.. I think the product is good, but I had an issue with the way it was marketed. When the salesman got to the price and the push for the sale process, I kept thinking and ndash; this is just like buying a car, and it is a good thing I kept saying no! First price was $8,775 for 202 feet of gutters. Then, and ldquo;buy today for $7,070and rdquo; Then, and ldquo;we just happened to have an excess of your chosen color we purchased when aluminum process were low, price is now $5,857and rdquo;. Then, and ldquo;final offer is $4,637and rdquo;.I told them that is enough for today, I wanted to check around and think about it. The next day I got a call from the Cincinnati office, (the main office), price is now $4,035. After checking, I concluded that was a reasonable price so I finally said yes. One thing to know about any no clog system with a hood covering the gutter is, they are susceptible to over shoot during heavy rain, especially if the roof has a valley. That is, the water is rushing to fast to follow the curve of the hood into the gutter so it flows onto the ground. This is only a problem during very heavy rain storms. Take a look at the 7th review titled and ldquo;Guttershutter is a good product with an archaic sales processand rdquo; by Brandon H. He describes the same process I went through. Some of the other reviews are good for a laugh. In conclusion, I feel it is a good system, the installers did a good job, so far I am satisfied but one must be careful or they will pay too much. Guttershutter should quote the price they need to make their required profit and stick closer to it. The Indianapolis office of this company is called Brickyard Gutter Systems Inc.
