STEGEMOLLER PAINTING

Dave gave us a very reasonable estimate to paint 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. We supplied the paint.  Unfortunately he mixed paint colors up and used the wrong paint in one of the bedrooms (I had it written down for him and put a sticky note on each wall with the paint name). He admitted that this was his error and agreed to redo it since it was his error.  As he used the paint in the wrong area he had to purchase additional paint.  He took the paint can with him to get more. When he returned with the paint we discovered that he had purchased different, cheaper paint. I had purchased the Emerald paint at Sherwinn Williams(top line, expensive).  He did not. He indicated that his type of paint was paint he had used in the past and would be fine. When we indicated that we did not want to use that paint (we wanted the same paint) he informed us that he was done and he packed up in the middle of the job and left with walls partially patched and partially painted and with areas painted the wrong color. I tried to speak with him on the phone and he refused. Very unprofessional.

David gives a very quick estimate and has the client purchase paint on their own. This was just fine ( you get his professional discount, and he stears you to the best paint for the job). His estimate was extremely competitive and there was a couple of add on costs, but it still beat all the other estimates far and away. He was very personable and did a great job.

They're always on time. They do good work, you don't have to call them and have them come back out to touch anything up. They clean up well after themselves.

Dave is a very nice guy. He is very good about working with what we felt it should cost. He didn't pack on things that weren't totally necessary. He has handled every problem very professionally and quickly.

The complete job was done exactly as quoted. After David Stegemoller had completed the job, I gave the guest quarters a thorough cleaning and was hardpressed to find even a small splatter of paint anywhere. I couldn't have been more impressed. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again the next time I have some painting to be done.

He is very reliable, if he can't come he always phones. He is pleasant to have around, I feel comfortable having him in my home. I think his price is fair.
