The experience went fine. I think the price was fair and the quality of their work was good. We would use them again in the future if needed.

I discovered some places in my fascia that were rotting. Upon inspecting the cause I found my old 11 year old roof had aligning seams in the bottom row at 9 points. Water was leaking through the roof causing the problem. Both roofing companies agreed the roof was not installed correctly. I contacted two roofers that were recommended. One was recommended by Angie?s List and Mark was recommended by a neighbor. Mark Schober gave us a recommendation and roofing estimate on July 17, 2009. He started roofing on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Although he offered to begin earlier, he scheduled it for our convenience. Mark worked through Friday completing the work. He laid drop cloths around the parameter of the house to minimize the number of nails and scraps in our yard. I periodically inspected their work along the way and can attest to the good quality. Mark did exactly what he said he would do. He offered to take me on a final walkthrough to make sure I was satisfied. Mark personally oversaw the project and participated in the roofing. I couldn?t be more pleased with the high quality of their work.

In general, the work as far as the roofing goes was mediocre at best. Shingle lines were cut uneven, shingle nail heads were popping up through the shingles, chimney siding had to be redone twice since they did not use the correct material to begin with, ridge shingles had some cracks due to installation during cold weather, some shingles were torn and needed to be replaced. There were items on the proposal that were not done such as using cedar siding on a chimney and putting new flashing down onto skylights. Management was hard to get hold of to rectify these items. Letters were written which resulted in up to 7 visits before the job was done barely to my satisfaction. This took 6 months. I am paying him off to be able to get this matter over with. I am a perfectionist and walk the roof to inspect. I paid top dollar for 50 year shingles and expect top quality work. What I got was amateur effort while he chose to break in a new crew.
