and do it then. Well, after he never showed, I tried calling again. Finally, on Monday, June 24, 2013, Jeff called me and said, I know that last time we talked I was going to do that on Thursday or Friday. I said, no actually, you said you would do it on Monday, and if not during the day, then you would come by after 5 and do it yourself. He said, 'Oh, yeah, you're right, I did say that'. He then proceeded to tell me that there was no way he could get to me this week as they were booked with new construction jobs. I said then why did you promise me, not once, but twice, that you would do this....no response. I then said, who owns the company? He responded, "Jeff Smith, would you like to talk to him?" I said I would and he proceeded to say that he was at lunch, but if I called back at 1:15 p.m. he would be available to talk with me. I called at exactly 1:15 p.m. and Jeff did not answer, so I left a message on his answering machine. Jeff Smith just responded to me at 3:40 p.m. and I reiterated what I previously wrote. I also added that my father has been using this company many, many, years and surely they did not wish to see a client of that length go away under such unprofessional circumstances. Jeff said, well, I'm sorry, I have this new contract with Ashton (sp?) homes and I have to get it done, I don't have any time to do your job this week. I said even after I had been promised twice that someone would be out here, you don't hold true to your word or those of your employees, and he said I'm sorry. I then said, well, I feel like since my father is 82 years old and I have taken over the business for him you feel that I probably will not be as big of a customer as he was so I basically don't matter to you. He said, well that's not what I'm saying, but you believe what you want to. I told him my husband and I both operate under the premise that if we tell you we will do something and at a specific time, then we do it. I could not believe my ears, and he basically said, I'm sorry you feel that way, and that was the end of the conversation. All I can say is I would never, ever treat a loyal customer in this fashion.
