"Hi [Member Name Removed]- I appreciate your review on Angie's List but as a business owner, I feel like we have failed with a B rating. Could you please provide me with feedback that could have helped us achieve an A rating. Moving forward, our goal is to make sure you had a positive service experience with Primary Grounds and that all of your expectations were met to your satisfaction. Thank you, Scott Rau, owner"
The crew arrived and got right after the work. One minor mix up on the plant order. The crew leader brought the issue to my attention, gave me options and asked what I wanted to do. The issue was resolved during their lunch break. Work was finished same day, just as some light rain started. Crew were all hard workers and knew what they were doing. Crew Leader Doug asked multiple times if everything was looking ok.
Amanda, estimator, showed up as she said she would to discuss job with the crew leader and checked in with me.
First work of this type we had ever contracted for, so was a bit surprised at the cost, but the work looks good. Hoping the plants survive the winter.

"Thank you for your kind words! We have enjoyed working with you on your lawn. Primary Grounds"
"I would like to express my appreciation for this feedback as it always helps to improve our service and ultimately our customers’ experience. I have personally investigated this series of incidents and have found that while our initial work order(s) had been followed to a tee, there was apparently a bit of miscommunication between the members of the household in terms of the scope of work to be performed. I apologize that this resulted in a disappointing experience. I hope that you can consider our extra efforts in order to make the situation better. I have quite a few records indicating work performed that was outside the original scope. None of this work was billed to my knowledge. Please feel free to reach out to me if there is anything else I can help with. Scott Rau President, Primary Grounds 317-422-9755"
Update: July 2011. The shrubs the planted are doing well, despite the harsh winter. The landscape fabric is showing already in several places. I am least satisfied with the lawn improvements. I was told last year that my side yards, which were sparse, would be much improved by next spring, and they might also re-seed the sides to help that, if needed. After some communciation issues, I was contacted by my project manager, and I asked him to come out and look at the lawn, because I felt that it was no better than last fall, but wanted this opinion. He came out and looked at the lawn and said it looked great.
I have hired another service to re-seed my lawn.
