After receiving several reputable referrals and conducting our own research, our family decided to work with Moss Roofing. We are pleased to share that they exceeded our expectations. Your home is one of the largest investments you make, and it's personal. Finding someone you trust to complete the work and care about the level of detail as if it were their own home is very hard to find. Scope of Work Completed: • New shingles • Replace box vents with vent ridge • Remove chimney • Replace fascia & metal • New gutters • New soffits Our initial interaction was with Benny Noland. Benny, an expert in his field, made us feel confident we were working with the best. He was down-to-earth, answered all our questions, and was always prompt in responding. A specific instance that stands out is when a small tree fell on our property while we were on vacation. Benny took the time to trim and cut the tree for us, going above and beyond his duties. Thank you, Benny! The project was then smoothly handed over to Chris Davisson, who managed everything from start to finish. Chris was outstanding to work with. His team was respectful of our home and meticulous in their work. Chris was a great communicator throughout the entire process, being honest, upfront, and friendly. He addressed all our concerns and assured us we would be taken care of, staying true to his word and commitment. We also had the pleasure of working with Delaney Courtney and Allison Moss behind the scenes, and they were equally wonderful. Having been in customer service for 14+ years, I have high expectations for what constitutes a great client experience. Moss Roofing provided an exceptional experience for me and my family. We are delighted with the vinyl siding that Moss Roofing installed on our house, and neighbors have remarked to us favorably about it. The two project managers with whom we worked - George, who assisted us during our decision-making process, and Ben, who supervised the installation - were excellent; the team that did the labor was outstanding – skilled, diligent, and pleasant – and we appreciated also the contributions of others – including Bev, Adam, and Delaney – who, from the office, facilitated the effort.

Everything went well

I am highly pleased with the new roof (Owens Corning Duration) and the work Moss Roofing performed. More than one layer of shingles were present when I purchased the house, and roof leaks developed in two rooms on opposite sides of the house. One of these areas had a low slope (2/12), and Benny suggested an alternate rubber material used on flat roofs for this portion of the roof. He also built a diversion in this area to channel water away from a corner where water would get trapped against the wall. I can't notice the difference from the ground, and it has improved my peace of mind to know this area is now draining properly for the first time ever, ice accumulation will not be an issue, and I won't have to fix the closet ceiling more than once! Benny also replaced some old deteriorated trim boards and installed insulated hoses in the attic to vent the bathroom fans properly. The whole crew was professional, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves. I originally considered a contractor certified platinum by Owens Corning with a slightly better warranty (on the labor portion only, material warranty is equivalent), however Owens Corning dictates that all materials be made by them for the platinum warranty. Moss Roofing is a preferred Owens Corning contractor, but could work outside the box a little more (e.g. they used Lomanco vents as this company focuses on vents only and out-performs Owens Corning in this area). With the money I saved and the quality of work performed, I am confident I made the right selection.

I’m a little overdue in writing this as the roof and gutters went in about 2 years ago now. From start to finish, my experience with Moss was outstanding. My rep, Kent, was the best. He was very personable, patient and responsive to all of my questions throughout the process. He went above and beyond to ensure that the color of roof that I wanted was in fact what I chose. It’s harder than you think looking at those tiny samples. I also had a lot of questions about the air flow in the attic and how to improve it. My ~1100 sq ft 1951 bungalow does not have soffits so the air intake had been through gable vents on the upper sides of the house. It wasn’t much lower than vents on the roof where the warm air escapes. Benny came out to answer questions about the plastic air intake vents that could be inserted on the lower third of the roof. I chose to install those and ridge venting to help balance the air flow and hopefully keep the house cooler in the summer. The gable vents were covered at the end of the job. I had a high efficiency furnace and water heater installed a few years ago so I really didn’t need the chimney anymore. It would have cost me ~$2,000 to repair it but since it’s no longer used, I paid Moss to remove it (much cheaper). Per my request, they were very diligent while removing it. They also removed an eye-sore chimney stack over my office as a previous owner had a wood stove installed (I removed it after I bought the house but the stack remained). They started in the morning and had the new roof on the house and mini barn installed in one day. Everything went very smoothly during the planning and installation process. But what really impressed me was the responsiveness from Moss when some hiccups occurred. The ridge venting over the garage wasn’t very long compared to the house so they came out and extended it within a few days. My fence was damaged when the gutters were installed but they came out within a week to have the damaged board replaced. I saw two water spots on the ceiling near the outside wall so Kent and I went into the attic to see what the problem might be but we couldn’t find anything. Lastly, the spring after the roof was installed, there was water running down the inside of my patio door when it rained. I thought that maybe the plastic intake vents were leaking. Kent came out (again) and took a look. It turns out that the caulking around the door was going bad. It wasn’t their fault but he went above and beyond and caulked it. That fixed the problem. I really can’t say enough good things about Moss Roofing. I feel very confident that my roof was installed properly at a fair price and they are very responsive to questions and concerns. I would certainly recommend them to family and friends.

They were good with working with my insurance company to resolve any issues. They gave me phone calls and told me when they were coming. They were prompt. They did what the said they were going to.

After interviewing 5 different roofing companies, I chose Moss Roofing. I liked the fact that Benny, the Project Manager, was going to be present the day the job was done. Benny was great at answering my many questions & offered to bring out roofing samples, e-mail a pic of my roof with sample shingles superimposed on it, & nail some samples to my roof when I was having difficulty choosing a new color of shingle. In addition to the roof being replaced, I also was having my chimney replaced with a chimney cap by a heating/cooling company. Moss had to remove my old chimney & coordinate the roof installation with the chimney cap installation. Everything was done the same day with no issues. There was a small problem with the gutter installation, but Moss took care of it immediately & to my satisfaction. Beverly, the owner, was very professional & followed-up on everything. I was very happy with the work they did!

For anyone checking reviews, my review is from your average customer who's home was damaged in a recent hail storm. This was the first time that my wife and I had to go through this repair process. We needed a new roof, gutters, and siding. We interviewed a few roofing companies and ultimately chose Moss Roofing. The deciding factor was that when Adam came out and gave is his estimate, he was professional, knowledgeable, and most of all there was no high pressure sales tactics. The material that was presented was professional and easy to follow. Adam met our insurance adjuster at the time of the insurance company's estimate. Our insurance company was not covering items that were required by code and everyone at Moss Roofing dealt with the insurance company to have these items covered. It was so nice not having to deal with this. Beverly was in constant contact with timelines and scheduling so we knew exactly the next steps and process. Adam and Beverly were always available whenever we had any questions. The roofing crew was right on time, worked efficiently, and were very polite. They didn't damage anything in our yard and cleaned up afterwards. The gutters and siding were also completed smoothly. Due to the amount of damage that we had, there were a couple of items that needed a bit of extra attention after installation and the entire Moss Organization was right on it. With all of the damage in our neighborhood, I was able to watch other companies and their contractors and feel by far that Moss Roofing far exceeding any other company. We never felt alone or wondering what the next step was. I would definitely use Moss Roofing again by far. Thank you to the entire Moss Organization for everything.

Great! The price and quality were spot on. We've had the roof for about a year and haven't had any issues. They were fast and efficient without losing quality.

Moss Roofing did a great job, they were timely, professional, clean, neat and they did a fantastic job. Nothing was damaged, everything went perfectly, on time and cost exactly what they said it would cost. They gave me options to pick and choose from and, again, overall they did an outstanding job to the point of being careful with our landscaping. They color matched everything they replaced (vents, exhaust pipes, etc.) they removed the old roof, left no debris, cleaned up perfectly and installed the new roof properly. I watched videos, beforehand, on what to look out for and they did not cut corners, they did everything I researched that should be done. They actually exceeded my expectations on every level. I cannot recommend them enough. I had them come back out about a year later to replace a dish antenna. They did that for an agreed price and, again, that job was perfect as well. They removed the antenna, replaced the tiles, cleaned up, etc. Another perfect job plus the owner always performs follow up calls personally, that just doesn't happen in this day and age. Absolutely amazing!

Very professional, their guys were polite and cleaned up after themselves. They worked with us to get the roof and gutters done on a nice day (last minute) and explained everything to us (insurance filing, etc). They are genuinely nice people, and have worked with the same group on installers for years-you can see that in the happiness/politeness of the crews.

My insurance cut us short on a few things and they worked directly with the insurance company to get it resolved.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this company. I had a total roof and gutter replacement, and absolutely everyone I interacted with from Moss went above and beyond in delivering amazing customer service. My ceiling was leaking when I made my initial call, and even though we were in the middle of five days of torrential rain, Moss immediately sent someone out to inspect the damage as soon as there was a brief break in the weather. When a small gap was found in the roof ridge, they had someone come out within hours to apply an "Elephant Skin" patch to prevent further damage until the roof could be fully repaired. My roof and gutters needed to be replaced due to extensive hail damage, and Beverly Moss spent a ton of time on the phone with me patiently answering questions and walking me through each step of the process and what to expect from my insurance company, etc. I can't overstate how helpful this was! Moss sent a representative out to walk through the inspection with my insurance adjuster to ensure they would capture all needed repairs. I was at work during this inspection and hadn't planned on claiming any interior damage, since there were only some minor ceiling stains that I felt I could handle with a bucket of paint. Moss again went above and beyond in reporting the interior damage to the insurance adjusters, and Moss actually came back out and spent a lot of time measuring and photographing the interior damage and explaining what I could expect to be compensated for even though Moss does not do interior work themselves. (They offered to find a subcontractor for me, but I was able to do the interior painting myself.) There was absolutely no profit in it for them to help me with the interior damage claim (and I ended up getting quite a bit from the adjusters), but Moss helped me anyway, because they are that awesome. And when I hesitated in choosing the color of my new roof tiles and asked if they had any recommendations, Beverly took a photo of my house and sent several mockups of what my roof would look like with different colored tiles to help me with my decision. What amazing customer service! The crew arrived to replace my roof one morning before I left for work, and when I got home, the roof was totally replaced and the driveway and surrounding area was pristine. Moss uses a separate company to replace the gutters, and again, one day I came home from work and the gutters were replaced and perfect. The entire process was painless and easy. I've had no problems with my new roof despite several heavy rains, and the whole replacement cost me nothing, since I was able to recoup my deductible with leftover interior damage money (again, thanks to Moss and their help with the interior claim). I've heard so many horror stories over the years about problems other people have replacing their roofs, so I feel very fortunate to have discovered Moss here on Angie's List. Thanks again to the amazing Moss staff for all of their help and amazing work!

I had to reschedule once due to weather. I was not home at the time of the replacement but the work was done in one day and it looks great. They did not damage any landscaping and cleaned up nicely after the work was done.

I was delighted with the service provided. In response to the inspection report for the house that we were selling, the prospective buyer requested that the specified vent, chimney, and roof repairs (along with other work) be completed within a relative brief period. Having been very pleased a few years prior, when Moss replaced an old and hail-damaged roof, I called them for this need, and I was grateful when Bev Moss - who is always friendly and helpful - scheduled me quickly. The man who did the work was skillful, efficient, diligent, and pleasant, and the home buyer was completely satisfied with the result.

It went very well.  The job foreman was very informative, the crew was fast and efficient.  Several issues were spotted as the roofing was removed, the issues were resolved and new roof installed in one day.  Excellent job.
