We would definitely hire them again. The only 'negative' about the experience -- and this is minor in the scheme of the whole process -- is that we visited their 'showroom' to start the project. The gentleman we spoke with there wasn't completely knowledgeable; the receptionist answered many of our questions, however. We were told that 'Angela' was at the county fair but that she would call and set up an appointment to come to our home. After several days, she had not called. However, I texted her. She immediately responded, set up the appointment, came to our home within just a couple of days, and was awesome! She ordered exactly what we needed, answered all of our questions, and told us the door would be in within 2-3 weeks. It arrived after just a couple of weeks. An appointment was scheduled for the install within a few days. 'Brett' did the install -- and did an awesome job! He was professional, pleasant, careful, detail-minded, and ensured that we were happy with his install. (Unusual in the 'trades' service industry, they were always on time!) Regarding the door itself ... They were able to match -- very closely -- the color we needed with a stock color .... that never needs painting! The door brand is 'Clopay.' We opted for the 'Intellicore' insulation technology and upgraded to heavy-duty hardware. The $1,105 price included complete installation and haul-away of our old door. Very happy we went with Midwest for this project -- and would definitely use them again!

Angela came out to measure my doors and show me options at 1pm and by 5pm I had a quote to make a decision by. About 2 weeks later my doors were in and we set up a time for installation the following week. Charles was my installer and he was AWESOME. He called as they had promised and let me know he was about 40 minutes out when he left the shop that morning with my doors. He was on time and quickly assessed my current set up and let me know about a few things that would need to be done in order to have my new doors mounted onto the existing tracks -- this mostly consisted of a few cut-outs in the drywall over the door for brackets that were different and such, and he made those cleanly and only as big as required, and checked with me to make sure I knew he would need to do that and that I was ok with it. I was surprised that he was installing 2 doors alone, but he clearly knows his stuff and while it took him most of the day at my house he was working efficiently and smartly to get it done in a quality manner. He ensured everything was working properly, cleaned up and did final paperwork with me before he left. He did a phenomenal job and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and look of my new doors! My entire experience with Midwest was so positive - everyone from the front office to reception to scheduling to install was incredibly professional and pleasant. I would highly recommend them!

Technician (Charles) arrived within the given interval, calling me when he was leaving the previous job. I hung around the garage area the whole time he was here, not to keep an eye on him, but was interested in the mechanics of the work. I also like to chitchat with folks if they’re so enclosed. He was very tolerant of this and obliged. I was impressed by his attention to detail in his work and the safety aspects involved. It didn’t take too long to get the job completed. He had to call tech support on the internet parts as they weren’t behaving coming to the conclusion that there was a defect in one unit. Cleaned up he progressed and when the job was complete.

The technician was prompt in getting here and also in fixing the problems.  The cost was reasonable.  I would recommend them to anyone needing garage door service.

They were here when they said they would be.  The spring was broken and was replaced.  Because the door has two springs, we replaced the good spring so both springs would be equal.  Also replaced a broken hinge and oiled the other garage door.

Provider had a quick response on an after hours call after our garage door malfunctioned in the evening.  We got a call ahead when they were 15 minutes away.  The garage door was stuck open (at an angle), and the support on one side was bent.  He corrected the bent support, and made the door operational so that we would be able to get our vehicle in and out of the garage.  He also installed a manual lock inside to secure the garage, until we were able to schedule and replace the door and supports.  (This was only an emergency call to secure the home).  We greatly appreciated the timeliness and efficiency of the service.

Called Midwest as a result of positive reviews on Angies List and they were local. They were great!
Technician showed up on time, assessed the problem quickly, and much to the surprise of my co-workers, did not immed. try to sell me a new opener.
Issue was the circuit board and some old sensor wiring that needed re-stripped and attached.  Also performed basic maintenance on the track, reprogrammed the remotes as a result of the new circuit board, and sprayed lubricant on the track wheels/door springs etc.
Great company, and great service.  Will absolutely use them again.

Arrived a 5pm and finished at 5:35p. Like many businesses, I was told to be home at 2p for afternoon service so I took entire afternnon off. He replaced broken spring- garage door works. I said above that I would use again, but would call other providers and shop for best price next time.

Overhead garage door would not go up.  Service tech was nice & professional which he found the issue at first look.  Informed me of the cost of parts & labor with no hesitation.  Reset tension control on garage door opener & lubricated door rollers.
The only negative is they would not give appointment times.  Could only get a time frame as "sometime in the morning".

I called on a Sunday morning on Memorial Day weekend because the spring had broken and I could not open the door.  They came out and replaced the spring and I was back in business.

I was able to schedule an estimate immediately and the work was done within a week. It was very easy to schedule. I had a garage door installed in a couple hours and my old door was hauled away. I was very happy with the service and would definately use them again.

We callled around 9:15 & was told someone would be there by noon. He actually got here about an hour later & less then 2 hours after we called we had an operational  garage door again. Larry was the technician who worked on it & he did a GREAT job. Very personable & knowledgeable he got both springs replaced and did a little preventive maintenance as well. Didn't know about the Angie's List discount but said he would take $10 off for it and that worked for us.
This company has serviced our garage door needs over the last 20 years or so & has always done a very nice job. I highly recommend them!l

I called Midwest Tuesday afternoon and they were able to come out the next day.  And because I work and home and have frequent conference calls that I can't interrupt, they were able to work around my schedule.  The technician called right at the earliest time we had negotiated and asked if it was a good time and was here within 10 minutes.  He was very professional and had the opener reconnected quickly and then worked on getting the door working properly.  Once he was done, he explained what he did and why it had been really creaky and not working well.  He also spent a few minutes talking with me about why I should (or not) have a lock on it.  I would whole heartedly  recommend this company again.  (FYI, they also installed my current door several years ago and it's still in good shape.)

Monday morning I spoke with Midwest at about 7:30AM.  They were able to schedule an afternoon window.  They showed up on time, assessed and fixed the garage door.  The technician was very personable, as well as knowledgeable.  He fixed the problem, as well as made an adjustment so my garage door would go up slightly higher.  That was very helpful, being that my vehicle is very tall.  Service could not have been better.  Timely, punctual, and effective.

I originally had called and inquired about a new door on Friday 3/23/12 because my old door of 15 years (was bending/sagging and had come off the track) and had someone at my door in 30 minutes to evaluate and provide a free written estimate of the cost for repair/replacement, which included all labor, taxes, removal of old door and cleanup. I decided I did not want them to even attempt to repair the old door, but to replace it. A Monday afternoon service was setup and I was surprised when I was called around 10am and asked if they could come out early to do the install. Within 15 minutes the installer was here and began removing the old door, installed the new one, loaded all the old door in the truck and was out in about 3 hours. I am VERY pleased with the straightforward pricing, no up sell and service received. I would recommend them without question.
