Mike was very patient in listening to my expectations on the new windows and recommended going standard sizes to minimize the cost. He also kept his promises on the timeline and performed the installation the same day when the newly ordered windows were delivered. Mike and his crew helped disposing all the trash and helped making the new windows clean.

Homestyle has remodeled a bathroom and kitchen for us and done some exterior work.  We have been very pleased each time.  Mike stays on schedule, within budget, and he and his crew do beautiful work.  Best contractor we've worked with.  Top notch!

Good

First of all they made a mistake on the order, I had requested that the windows have the panes between the glasses so it would be easy to wash.  When the windows came, it wasn't the case, they were removable panes so he had to reorder to replace the ones that had been incorrectly ordered.  There was a delay of about six weeks.  Finally, they were okay but it was a long ordeal.  He thought it was his mistake and he took the cost.

The service was great. 

Mike with Homestyle Construction is great. He assessed the problem and the work that needed to be done. He provided a written quote in an email with good details about the project. Mike communicated with me regarding a start date for the project and the number of days that it would take to complete. The work was completed on time and it looks wonderful. You would never know that there had been a major leak in the ceiling because it is so well done.
Two things really stood out. Mike Bush is extremely professional, courteous, and respectful. And there was never a bit of dirt or debris in my kitchen at any time. He kept everything clean and neat each day.
I will definitely have Homestyle Construction back to do additional projects on my home. Mike had great suggestions about my future projects.

It went well from start to finish.  Had to wait a littler longer on countertop than expected but Mike and crew were on time and do very good work

They provided good service. Everything was great. They were very responsive and cost effective.

It went ok.  I was hoping to just restore, but the tiles couldn't be saved, and actually some were even broken while taken them out-it seemed that caution was not taken by taking them out.  I don't know anything about tile, but he said he could save them; I think he should let the client know up front that there may be a chance that they can't be saved.  They assumed that some things were garbage without asking.  I didn't like that a two day job wrapped into a third day (the 2.5 hour lunch on the second day could have been shorter and then they wouldn't have to come back for an hour on the third day).  I shouldn't have to sand the last drywall plastering before painting. (I opted to paint myself, but the wall repair was part of the job).  They did prep work on the front sidewalk, which should not have been done. (The brick sidewalk was already loose, and they just loosened it more by doing that).  Some of my flowers were trampling when they put the lamp in.  This is probably an excellent company to choose if you want remodeling done because they do have attention to detail, but if you want repair work done (like I did), I wouldn't recommend.

We were extremely pleased with the service received.

I think they are pretty good and I like them.  They do really nice wood work, tapestry and things like that.  They work is excellent.  I would use them again.

He was great to work with and hands on. There were not any hidden costs.

So far they have done a great job. Mike Bush is a nice guy and has been responsive to our needs. The work has been done well. The scheduling with them is a little tricky but they do a great job.

From planning, construction and execution all went well. we were kept informed at all stages and told of any additional work or cost overruns.

This was supposed to initially be a kitchen remodel. We obtained four estimates from  four different companies, and Mike Bush and Homestyle  weren't the cheapest, but also not the highest. We decided to go with them, because when Mike came out to talk to us, he had many ideas about what  he could do, and we really liked his ideas.  He was proposing to do more than the others, for not  alot more money. He was very professional and thorough. His initial estimate for the kitchen remodel was accurate, and only changed  if we decided to upgrade, as we did in getting granite instead of laminate countertops, and custom built all wood kitchen cabinets, instead of stock models from the big box store. Our remodel took three months, but that was because we kept adding new things that we wanted done. Mike has a small company, with two other employees. He sub contracts the plumbing and electrical work. We really liked his electrician, but not so much his plumber, although the work they did was good, but we felt like his plumber charged too much. Mike's company has a lot of work, and for a major remodel like we had, it  is going to take some time because he has other jobs going on. My only  recommendation would be to make sure that if they are gutting a room, hang plastic sheeting to cordon off the room from the rest of the house, to minimize the dust..Overall, a good experience. I would put their finished product up against any of the major remodelers, just beautiful work , or  "sweet" as Mike would say. One last thing. We had our bathroom remodeled 10 years ago by one of the major southside bathroom remodelers, and they did minimal work, and charged us thousands more than Mike did. We felt like we were ripped off by them.  Mike completely gutted our bathroom and  did much more than the other company for  less money.

The experience was great! I liked their service. They always repsond to question. Their work is very detailed. The price was good.

Mike was very professional and prompt in his responses. Mike and his subcontractors were attentive to details and being sure the job was done right and to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the results and our new structure.

They have done a lot of things for us. I decided to go with them because I really like the owner. He is very thorough and is always very prompt. If there is a delay, he communicates that very well. I think that he pays attention to detail. I don’t have to say anything that needs to be done. He is right on it. I was real pleased with everything.

Great. Mike came out on a Monday and went over the plans for the project and let us pick out the all of the hardware and paint. His crew came the next day to tear out and start the painting. On Wednesday, Mike's tile contractor put in the ceramic tile (very nice). Thursday, Mike's crew came back for install, painting, and put everything back. The plumber was also there. A four day project that turned out very nicely. Thanks Mike.

Other bids we received were substantially higher. Mike was extremely efficient and got the job done correctly and on time. Mike came out and power washed & scraped the siding the first day and within the next few days the job was completed. Mike kept us informed on the progress each step of the way. One suggestion I would give anyone having a paint job done is to grab duplicate paint strips when picking out the colors. Keep one set and give the other set to the painter.

Mike was professional and prompt. He finished the job in a week (as planned). The previous paint was peeling (prematurely), and Mike took extra time to remove as much old paint as possible. He did a great job.

MIKE AND HIS TEAM DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. MIKE IS VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT THE WORK HE PERFORMS, AND MAKES SURE THE JOB LOOKS GREAT. I WILL DEFINITELY BE CALLING MIKE AGAIN FOR OTHER WORK I NEED.
