We ordered a custom paned patio slider from Home Depot on 5/52015.. On 5/20 the first attempt at install resulted in the installers taking out the existing door, breaking the seal and most of the surrounding woodwork to discover the door was an inch too large. They remeasured and ordered a new door. We were told the new door would arrive by 6/4. When we didn't hear from them, we contacted them on 6/7 to learn door was at the store but had to be inspected. On 6/8 installation company called to say they would install on 6/9 between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. When they did not arrive by 2 30, we contacted Home Depot and was told they would arrive wihen they finished their previous job. Installers arrived at 3:45. They measured door opening again and said that door was an inch too short but that they could put in shims to make it fit. We told them that we had ordered a custom door and we did not want it jerry rigged to fit as the opening would be an inch shorter than normal openings and my husband was tall. The installers agreed that the door was not the dimensions that they had ordered for us. We were contacted by Home Depot's "customer service/door specialist"! Courtney , who said the door could have been made to fit if my husband was not abnormally tall. When we said that we had paid for a custom door and a custom door should fit the opening, she continued that this door could have been made to fit excep for my husbands abnormal height. We contacted store manager,who refused to be of an assistance and referred us back to Couetney. My husband tried to explain our position to her and she continued to say that the door could have been installed even though it was an inch too short. She hung up on my husband when he said this wasn't acceptable. We have since received a credit for the amount of the door and would no longer do business of any kind with this Home Depot as they appear to place no value on workmanship or customer service.

It was just the easiest thing I've ever done. Their staff was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable.

They consistently up their inventory and their customer service is good.

It went perfectly and scheduling was very easy.

Brought the wrong one first and I had to wait another week for the next one to be brought out. Installed water heater had to come back twice because of leaks.

Showed up on time. Seemed very knowledgeable and professional. We ended up going with another company that beat them on price.

We would have spent a considerable amount on carpet, but the company did not fulfill their promised obligations.  We went to Home Depot for carpet.  Selected a carpet that could be installed within 3-5 days.  Paid for the carpet for 3 full rooms in our home.  The company never contacted us to set up installation.  During the sales process he sales person didn't seem at all interested in our business.  When we contacted the company (local store) by phone, they seemed oblivious to our situation.  When I went to the store and spoke with the management it took them 10 minutes to even find the paperwork on the order.  They were willing to do the work ASAP at that point.   However, I demanded that they refund our money.  Which they did as they had no choice at that point.

The company used by HD to do the measuring turned up on time and were courteous.   It turned out to be a custom fit so we worked thru all sorts of options and doors trying to find one that I liked as well as would work. I ended up using a different company that I was working with on other things for the actual installation, but the door as measured and ordered by the Home Depot group I was very happy with.

installations went smoothly

The installation and final product were great.  there was some mis-communication at the time of the first estimate.  The man who did the estimate told us that we did not need as many downspouts as we ended up needing.  This added to the final cost.  But they explained the changes clearly, and it was understandable.  I like Home Depot Home Services.  They also did all of our window replacements.

They were very helpful. One of their employees went around the store and helped me pick out the materials that I needed. The people that work there are always very helpful and seem to know what they are doing.

Overall experience was horrible

I decided to go through Home depot because that is where I had purchased the appliances from them. They are comparatively cheaper than going through the individual appliance companies.

They did a fantastic job matching the color. I am pleasantly surprised. They are very nice, showed up on time, and cleaned up well. I wouldn't have known they were there except for the new cabinets.

They had the best price on a water softener and on their installation.  The installers were punctual and did everything they said they were going to do.  They did a great job.

I purchased the mower the previous year from them as a used item and I was having some trouble getting it started.  I was not aware that there were no returns or warranties on these items.  Even though this was the store policy when I brought it in as a repair, the manager of the store had them inspect the mower and do the repairs at no cost.  When I got it back the mower did rev up and rev down which was a little strange and I mentioned it to them in the store.  The manager said that I could bring it in now or at the end of the season and they would check it out for me.  This was a great experience with them.

Wanted the rest of the house done in fiber cement, but twice contractor's financing arm turned me down.  When siding started falling off, I called again to get it fixed.  New sales rep offered full house in vinyl for what I already invested/owed.  New installers did an excellent job.  Even though it's not the siding I originall wanted, it looks 500% better and the added insulation has already cut utility bills.

I liked the quality of the paint.  It was rated as one of the best paints.  It’s an easy place to find.  They seem like they have people there waiting for me and they totally help me sometimes.  I would tell people to go there.  They would always find what they want.  It’s a huge place, but one can find things.  I would use them again in the future.       

They worked ended up very nice. We were happy with the finished product. However, there was a problem with the manufacturer and it took a very long time to get the countertops in. Then when they finally arrived, the sick was in the wrong place so they had to send it back and we had to wait another two weeks to get them in.

They seemed very nice and helped me in purchasing some things. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future.

Everything was exceptional.  The salesman, service representative, and the installer were amazing.  The installer, specifically, was experienced and focused and worked efficiently.  The end result is simply beautiful, and it was all accomplished for a competitive price.
