Kevin and his team did an outstanding job. Very responsive, timely and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Decks by Wadsworth if you’re serious about building a deck.

Excellent! The deck and stairs look great. One board lifted up after a couple of weeks and was replaced right away after I contacted them about the problem. Good to do business with this company.

We wanted a deck for a longtime. We got estimates from lot of providers. Kevin from Decks by Wadsworth was very professional and gave a competitive estimate and the quality of the work doe was excellent. The estimates given for a similar kind of deck by other providers were way too high. He accommodated a lot of last minute changes and gave us the deck we always wanted.

Decks by Wadsworth were great to work with! They removed our old deck and hauled everything away. Due to all the rain we had in April, we expected the build would run longer than Kevin Wadsworth originally told us it would but to their credit, they finished right on time. Kevin met with us prior to construction, kept us completely informed during the project and was on site every day. They were at our house when they said they would be and cleaned everything up every evening.
We are extremely pleased with the quality of the construction and our new maintenance free deck looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Decks by Wadsworth to anyone thinking about a new deck.

Kevin Wadsworth guaranteed us in the beginning that he would start on the date he said he would begin and finish on the date he said he would be done. Kevin was always very punctual and he met the start and end dates of the project. In addition, he was able to complete the job on time even with some heavy rain on some of the days the crew was working. Early in the project some minor unexpected design changes were needed due to hidden obstacles, and Kevin and his crew were very accommodating with the changes.
We have had many compliments from friends and neighbors who have seen our deck. We are very pleased with the results and would hire Decks by Wadsworth again in the future. We would also recommend them to anyone wanting a new deck.

Kevin showed up right on time. He had a really nice book of business with some really nice pictures of his previous work. He made us feel very comfortable when talking to him. He gave us some really good ideas about the look, size and location of the deck and his ideas were all spot on for what we were looking for. Kevin even went as far as to sketch out what it would look like. We scheduled the work to be done the end of April beginning of May and we look forward to having Kevin and his crew back out to the house. I will fill out another report for this company when the work is completed. We made several phone calls to other deck/patio companies and by far got the best feeling from the company.

We had two old decks that were rotting on the very shady, backside of our house; and one next to our swimming pool. I developed some preliminary drawings to use to get estimates, which I did from three different companies. Decks by Wadsworth's quote was in the middle of the three. We did not go with the lowest bid, because he did it very part-time and it would have taken him months. Wadsworth had a dedicated crew who had the decks built in a matter of a few weeks. Kevin Wadsworth and his guys were very accommodating and flexible as new ideas surfaced and modifications occured during the project. They worked every day that the weather permitted. They were really great to work with. We couldn't have chosen a better contractor for this job. We love our new decks.

I liked that the owner was very involved in the process of the building. The deck turned out really nicely. It is still lasting. We did some comparison shopping, and their price was good.

They were punctual, and they did quality work. They did leave a mess, but I understand that they were doing strenuous work on a high-temperature day. I asked them to return to discuss how to address another issue, be they never did.

It went very well. He came and gave a great quote. He was available when we needed him to, They came and had the work done in about 2 days. They rounded the corners on the benches and the corners on the deck for the safety of my children. They were very nice.

Kevin came out to give us an estimate on 3-2008. During the estimate procedure he came up with a couple of ideas that we had not considered and we accepted his recommendations. I was very happy with the input of his ideas. Kevin and his crew were punctual and completed the work in the time frame that was stated. The composite part of the deck was constructed well. However the corner bench was not constructed well. The fit and finish of the bench was not done well, and it does not sit even on the deck. I would probably use these folks again. However, I would have a better contract written, with more details of expectations. I would be certain to have a better understanding about what is to be constructed with composite material, and what would be constructed of wood. It looks like they know what they are doing regarding the composite, but I am not sure with regard to building a bench. We are unhappy with the way the bench turned out. The rest of the deck is good. I would be sure to have an understanding on who will do the staining. Better communication, by asking more questions on my part may have prevented some of this issue.

We received quotes for composite and wood decking from several companies. Kevin's prices were by far the best and his wood decking material is superior to what other contractors use. (His wood in kiln dried, straight, shouldn't warp, and mostly free of knots). He was able to schedule our deck much more quickly than originally anticipated, agreed to a couple quirky requests of mine, and his crew completed the project skillfully.

I got my estimate in May after calling three companies. Kevin came out and worked with me to have a design ready in time for our owner's association to review. They booked the date for early July and showed up exactly as scheduled. They had the entire deck finished in two days. It is extremely well done, especially the pergola with the porch swing. The new deck creates a wonderful outdoor living space. All of the neighbors are envious, and some may want to build a similar deck in the future.

In spite of higher quote we choose Kevin since he seemed competent & service oriented. Kevin told how when he had unhappy customers in the past he has torn out & rebuilt decks to keep customers happy. In 1 year we have had mold problem with the brand name decking. We used cleaner/mold repellent & mold quickly came back. Kevin stated that the manufacturer s local rep would do nothing since they felt that any mold problem was due to poor maintenance, & he offered to provide us with his telephone number if we wished to pursue this further with the brand name decking company. Our contract for deck was with Kevin, and he did not disclaim any warranties. We used this decking only after Kevin assured us that it was the best deck product and very low maintenance. Kevin built this deck with materials he recommended and we paid Kevin for the deck. I am displeased that Kevin after being informed of a problem pointed to a third party and accepted no responsibility and did not rectify the problem.

SINCE THIS ISSUE OF MOLD HAS OCCURRED WE NO LONGER INSTALL COMPOSITE DECKING, ONLY PVC BASED WITH NO WOOD FIBERS. WE ARE INDEED CONCERNED WITH THE PROBLEM WITH MOLD AND FEEL WE WERE MISLEAD BY THE COMPOSITE REPS. SPRING OF 2007 IS SCHEDULED FOR CLEANING AND SEALING OF THIS DECK PROJECT. It went pretty well...met with Kevin and went over design details just before we left for 10 day vacation. Deck was nearly completed upon return. Kevin took care of any issues that we raised and made sure it was complete to our satisfaction before accepting final payment.
