Originally I am rating him C for a work done fine, but this time when I called him on 1st of March, he said he was driving, he told me he'd call me back, but he didn't call me back, I called him back 3 days ago but still never heard from him, He made upgrades on my deck 3 years ago that is why I was calling him to do upgrade on my deck this time, it's kind of frustrating since he was not returning any of my calls.

We wanted a custom designed composite deck, and the DeckMaster crew delivered in virtually every respect. We met with Ralph to go over our initial thoughts and ideas concerning our deck project. Ralph provided a lot of helpful feedback, and went over the process. We described what we wanted and Ralph created a several concepts. We went back and forth for a few weeks (via email), digging further into the details each time. During this time, Ralph was very responsive and very through. I appreciate his time and effort regarding our endless email exchanges (77 in total). Once we decided on a design, Ralph came back over to the house to discuss all of the finer details (final costs, time, material, etc.). We gave him our down payment, and we were off. Ralph filed for our permit, and surveyed the land. DeckMasters started the project, despite the winter weather. The weather caused a few delays, but nothing too significant. I felt like the guys made great progress each time they were here. The builders were fantastic. The entire deck is of great quality and craftsmanship. They ended up hitting and underground sump pump drain line when digging footers, but they fixed it quickly, and at no cost to myself. After the deck was complete, Ralph once again came to the house to make sure we were happy with everything. They even left me an access point so that I could easily access the underside of the deck. This was invaluable as I used the access panel to DIY install deck lighting. The final product exceeded my expectations. It was exactly what I wanted, and exactly what we had discussed and designed. DeckMasters went above and beyond, and I appreciate all of their hard work.

Great experience! The owner, Ralph, met with us twice to discuss what we wanted and drew up two plans and made great suggestions for enlarging our deck and covering part of it with a Pergola and closed roof so we could use it In the rain. He and his crew were very professional and you could tell they all took great pride in their work. Project turned out great and we couldn't be happier with the result. We got several estimates and not only was theirs the lowest, but they seemed the most concerned about getting everything we wanted. GREAT JOB ......THANKS

Everything went great and our deck looks fantastic. Very easy to work with. Ralph was very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly. Very thorough and professional. The project went great. They started when they said they would and they were at my house every morning until they were finished. They were always polite to us and to our dogs. They did what they told me they would and had the entire deck done in 6 - 7 days. I would definitely recommend them to any of my family or friends.

I've been meaning to give Ralph an A+ rating for rebuilding our deck for several years and I must apologize to Ralph for my procrastination. At the time and for a couple of years after, I was fighting to retain my sight and it got in my way of writing a review. Thankful to say, I bounced back after a long recovery and I'm grateful for that and also grateful for Ralph's most excellent skill and craftsmanship. Sorry Ralph, it took me so long to post this review. I can't imagine there would be anything that Ralph and his Crew could not accomplish; they really deserve to be called Deckmasters. Ralph hand selected the material and every detail of the construction project was spot on; in addition to rebuilding our second story deck, he also built a two tiered staircase with a landing which was a very significant project in of itself, in addition to the deck. Easy to give Ralph five stars; he is one the best contractors I have ever worked with. Ralph is a stickler for keeping the tolerances tight and deserves allot of credit for being so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his vocation. You can rest easy, doing business with Ralph Ford! My experience with Ralph was outstanding. From the moment I met him, I knew he was a stand-up and honest man. He was passionate about decks and materials. He spent time with me to design our deck and provide his opinion on what would look best. He was responsive to phone calls and provided a clear timeline for the work to be done. When it was close to our construction time, he came back out to finalize the design and made adjustments. It took just about 7 days to build the deck by Eric and Matt and it is absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship is outstanding and we have received so many compliments. Each morning the team arrived at 8am to start and Ralph was there to strategize and confirm designs and measurements. They men were very friendly and courteous the entire time. We initially didn't choose DeckMasters for this project, but quickly backtracked when we started down the path with the other company. I called Ralph to clarify information regarding materials and construction and he spent a significant amount of time on the phone with me until I was comfortable. We certainly made the right decision when we went with DeckMasters.

They built and installed new porch.  Highly professional group of installers.  I would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Ralph and his team did an excellent job for us.  He showed us how to make the most out of deck plans, offered money saving tips, and in the end we have an awesome new deck that is very well put together.  His crew did a great job of tearing off the old deck and building the new one without leaving any mess behind.  I don't think we even found one leftover screw when the cleaned up.  I would use them again for any future deck work.  The communication was good throughout the process, no issues what so ever.

The guys who did the work were very professional and extremely hard working. There were quite a few delays due to weather but the guys showed up everyday anticipating doing something. The work did end up taking a little bit longer than expected due to this. The deck turned out better than our expectations. Additionally, a final invoice wasn't sent until we said we were satisfied.

They stayed in contact scheduling the work. The week before making sure the date was still OK. They called again the day before.

On the expected date they arrived with a full crew and all the materials to begin work promptly. The first half day the area was laid out the footings dug and the post errected. The second day the constructed the basic deck. The third day the made the railing and cleaned up the job sight.

The deck is very nicely done. The jobsite was fully cleaned up and all the waste hauled away.

I would recommend DeckMasters to anyone wanting from a simple deck to a complex structure.

We had only one small problem with the railing. One of the new crew members had nailed some of the deck's vertical rails so that a few nails were sticking out the back of the railing.  I called Ralph that evening and Ralph came out the next morning and immediately corrected the problem. 
They finished the deck on the third afternoon. Everything was picked up and neat and you couldn't even tell there had been a work crew there.  There was an incident with an opossum mother and babies while they were tearing off some old decking but that was handled humanely and no opossums or humans were injured in the meeting. the opossums are back in the woods and humans went on with work.  Hopefully, the opossums will find a new home.  I have a beautiful new deck and friends have commented on what a professional job it is.
