I left a gas blower with Bluegrass at a later date. It ran, but was hard to start. Upon return, Jackson did not show me the blower, but met me in his driveway and said the blower could not be repaired. I got the opinion he would have charged me again for teardown/inspection had I taken the blower back. Once again, he kept the item.
The above instances did not represent good business practice on the part of Bluegrass.
PLEASE DO NOT SHOW THE ABOVE COMMENTS ON LINE, AS I AM AFRAID THERE MAY BE SOME RETRIBUTION ON THE PART OF BLUEGRASS, AS I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD FEELING AFTER DEALING WITH HIM TWICE. I FELT A LITTLE THREATENED .
"As I tell all my customers, there is no charge if I can't fix the equipment or they do not wish to pay for the repairs needed. While I do not remember the exact details for Mrs. Wilson's equipment problems, all of my customer are given the option to take their equipment back with them on a "as is" basis with no charges incurred. I take pride in my services and wish to be fair and honest with all of my customers. "Their is no sense in putting money into something that can be purchased new at a cheaper cost" has and always will be my business model."
"[member name removed] I wanted to apologize to you, I am truly sorry that you were unsatified with the workmanship. The bolt that was broken was due to the fact that when you dropped off the mower, the mower handle tightener had fell off in back of your car. After completing the work, I realized that it was missing and tried to reuse a bolt that I had on hand. When you arrived to pick up the mower, that's when you told me that the handle tightener had fell off in your car. If I had the tightener, then the bolt wouldn't have broken, and there wouldn't have been any delay whatsoever. For your trouble, I would like to offer you a free oil change redeemable anytime in the future. Best regards David Jackson"
