He said they were both to be fixed-rate mortgages, but the one turned out to be a home equity loan. One of the mortgages was not supposed to have a pay-off penalty because my mother was going to sell the house and she wanted to pay it off quickly. When that time came the mortgage was actually a variable loan and I was forced to sell the house quickly to get out of the mess. This guy lied to my daughter in-law, myself, and our real estate agent. He also used extreme profanity towards my daughter. I feel he at least owes me the $350 payoff penalty.
