Scott H.
Dec 2016
Auto Service
He said to bring it in, and 2 days after, he quoted a new issue, and the total was now $2100 for all the work. I asked if he would let me pay in parts, and he said no. So I told him to keep the truck in the back and wait until I have the money. The following Friday he said it was ready to be picked up and was now $3200! I asked why it went up, and he said they had to do more work on it. It has now gone up 2 more times since then, again saying that he had to do more work. I re-explained that I do not have the money for the original work and certainly didn't authorize more work! Now he's trying to charge me $1600 more for the turbo. I took it to another mechanic, and while we were figuring it out, the water pump went out. The only thing that needed to be done for the turbo was replace a small part for $69.
