From the initial bid process to the completion of the work, everything was completed as promised. Mark, one of the owners, arrived as promised both for the development of bid for a new installation as well as for the installation itself.
What stands out about this family owned business is their expansive knowledge of HVAC systems and the many issues associated with their installation. Zoning, de-humidification, humidification, and the type of system are not simple choices to make, and it is only with expertise from professionals such as Mark that one can be sure that the best system to meet one's needs is being installed.
Extra care was taken throughout the installation process to ensure not only that everything was installed properly, but that all debris was taken away. The system's performance has exceeded my expectations, and I trust that a lot of this is attributable to the attention to detail throughout the installation process.
Mark's expertise is complemented by his high integrity. It would be easy to recommend the top-of-the-line system, but his analysis of my situation indicated that such a system would be of little, if any, benefit to me, and would cost me a great deal more money.

There was a lot of work involved, the men arrived early the first day and got straight to work. There was no monkey business, they were there for a job and they got straight to work. They worked diligently, they cleaned up their mess every day, I never heard any course or foul language coming from them. There was never any accumulation of boxes, dirt, or any mess whatsoever. They cut the holes in the walls and ceilings for the new duct work, and it was done (and looks) very professional. After 4.5 days, they were done working around noon. They showed us how to use the electronic thermostat, and everything else we needed to keep the new system operational.
I can not say enough good things about the crew from Stier Hand C! I've had contractors in my home before and I've always had to clean up after them in some fashion or another. These boys left everything neat and clean, if I did not know there were there working for a week there would be no way to tell.
The system works much better than I had anticipated, the upstairs (the part I thought we would have the most trouble cooling) is actually almost too cool now! The air in the house seems much cleaner, I only wish I had hired these guys many years ago.

Stier provided a professional installation and was forthcoming with information regarding operation and maintenance questions. We are satisfied with both the product and workmanship and would use Stier again as well as recommend them to others.
