At first we were pleased. Then we noticed that their mower deck caught our new chain link fence. I wasn't too worried about it but contacted them and asked them to be careful. The fence was stretched a little but not really noticeable. I was just going to have it fixed soon. Last time they were here the same thing happened and now a different area is pretty stretched out. I contacted the company and they said someone would be out over this past weekend. No one came or called. Now the company isn't mowing my yard and not answering texts or calls. Use this company at your own risk.

Estimate was originally $5.2K  Contractor said work would take two weeks.  It took the contractor almost 6 weeks, of which about 5 days in the middle work was stopped because we were scheduled for vacation but it was still way past deadline.  It cut into the start of our kids school year which was very inconvenient. The original estimate was to tear down a wall between two rooms, run wiring, electric and turn the area into three rooms. A lot of the original supplies were to be salvaged and used if possible. The original estimate was to include two additional windows and to add a closet and bedroom door. Due to the location of wiring on one wall, one of the windows could not be added, which I agreed to, but I the contractor never installed the other new window. He just moved one and used the existing window. In addition, I ended up paying for the two additional doors (bedroom & closet). I felt like he did a good job with the electrical wiring and relocating the heating vents. His measurements, walls and trim were perfect. I did have a problem with the professionalism of the crew. At times, there was a lot of horsing around on the job, poor communication or calls on days going to be present or not, or not showing up when it was communicated that they would. At one point, the manager and the first (of two) contract employees were wrestling and they both came tumbling down the stairs. The first contracted employee quit two days later. Outside of the manager, the contract help seemed inexperienced. We saw progress when the manager was present but the work was limited when he was not.  Also, when he was present, his attention competed with multiple phone calls, discussing other projects, future jobs and other business. Considering how many hours were spent, I feel like I got a fair price for what I paid. It was my first contract construction experience and I ended up with a finished product (although I had to finish it myself). In the end, I felt like I paid  them off just to get it over. I ended up having to finish the closets myself, sanding down the drywall because the texture was too course to paint. I had minor wiring issues with the fire detectors and cable that had to be fixed and I don't think care was not taken when it came to splattering of paint on furniture and cleanliness. Next time I believe I will pay a little extra and get a more established and professional crew.
