 + -1 moreKen and Jeremy are extremely professional as well as personable and patient. Costs were reasonable and well defined. We are hiring them again to work on a rental house we wish to update and then sell. Overall, KJ is a reliable and ethical company that I heartily recommend.
Description of Work: Ken Stellhorn and crew gutted one bathroom to remodel, as well as remodeling a half bath to build a full bath. This involved demolishing an entrance in one room and creating another to then make a master suite. Jon Fogleman did a superb job in re-using some old '50's ceramic tile we wanted to preserve in one bathroom and completely tiling the other with marble tile, then laying ceramic tile in the kitchen. New closets were developed in two bedrooms, and an old air return hole was patched. They also completely remodeled the upstairs, tearing out wood paneling and carpeting and putting up drywall, new baseboard, etc. Plumbing and electrical work was also included. Because this house is older (built in 1952), the original textured plaster needed to be matched, and Ken accomplished this as well. His crew painted did various odds and ends to complete other remodeling work. Our house had some very difficult issues to resolve, and Ken took his time to take care of all of our needs.

 + -1 moreI AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM, ACCURACY, AND WORK DONE BY KJ CUSTOM CARPENTRY. THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE WITH THE WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. THEY WERE VERY FLEXIBLE WITH WORKING AROUND OUR WORK SCHEDULE TO DO THE WORK. THE PROPOSED COST AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOB WAS THE SAME AMOUNT THAT THEY CHARGED ONCE THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED. THEY COVERED AND PROTECTED THE FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT WITH PLASTIC AND DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP ONCE THEY WERE FINISHED. I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR WORK AND WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN FOR ANY FUTURE WORK. I WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE THAT CAN BENEFIT FROM THEIR SERVICES!
Description of Work: WE NEEDED A SERVICE WINDOW OPENING IN A WALL DIVIDING 2 OFFICES. THEY CUT A 2'X 3'OPENING IN 6' PLASTER WALL, INSTALLED 2 X 12 HEADER, WRAPPED OPENING AND INSTALLED AN 8' SILL. REPAIRED CUT OUT FOR HEADER AND TEXTURE. PAINTED ALL TRIM, WALL REPAIR, AND CLEAN-UP.
