I was very pleased with the quality of the work. Jim met with me to discuss the scope of the project and answered all of my questions throughout the project. The project was completed in the quoted time frame and within budget. The project site was kept tidy. Jim and his crew were friendly and easy to work with. If I need similar work completed in the future, I will definitely give JM Pearson a call.

Looks great! Good quality. The house foundation and surrounded ground has some settling so the step appeared slanted. Jim was very responsive and came back right away and looked at several options to make the step look straight compared to the tilted house.

Finished product looks great! Jim worked with me to explain the options and find the best option. He was very diligent about the quality of his work, and wanted to be sure the job would hold up for years to come.

Very well. Mr. Pearson tore out the old concrete, placed forms enlarging the court as per my instructions and poured new concrete. After the concrete had set, he then replaced top soil and seeded the area. Jim is a very dedicated professional. He gives a detailed estimate which is most reasonable. This is the second job Jim has done at my house. We still have a major job upcoming. He will be replacing sidewalk in the front of our house. By the way, he has also done several concrete jobs for our church as well, with another starting soon. I never hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing concrete work done. This man knows the intricacies of and concrete and does a great job!

Jim provided me with a good estimate with a time table to complete the work. He showed up earlier than anticipated to start the work. He worked every day to prepare the cracks, caulk them, pressure wash the driveway then seal the concrete.
We have a lot of square footage and he worked late every night to stay on schedule and beat the weather. He did everything he said he was going to do and kept me up to date nightly on what was done and what was next. I would definitely hire him again!

Jim tore out a section of sidewalk that needed replaced and poured new concrete. He also installed a commercial channel to drain water from a downspout to help alleviate the problem that caused the problem in the beginning. He also patched several small areas to prevent them from growing. He power washed our entire sidewalk and then sealed everything. This is the third time that I've been involved with Jim on a project. One for me personally and two for our church. My project at home and the first project at church involved a complete tear out of a lot of steps and required several yards of concrete. On both of those projects, people were commenting about the forms Jim built for the steps, saying, "Wow, this guy really knows what he's doing"! I believe Jim truly loves what he does, it's just not a job.You can see the excitement in his eyes as he discusses a project. He does the research and knows what he's doing. I would definitely recommend Jim to anyone needing concrete work done. He's very reasonable as well as professional. My wife and I already have three more jobs for Jim in mind. I also know that our church would not hesitate to contract him again for any concrete need we may have. Call this guy--he's good!

James was on time each time and let me know what he was doing. He had enough help when necessary to put the forms up and pour the concrete. The steps and stoop have added so much to the look of my house. I am so pleased.

I had used Jim before to install a new concrete step. He was professional, always on time, cleaned up at the end of the day and was very knowledgable about concrete. During one of our conversations he said he also did power washing and sealing of drive ways and sidewalks. Jim came to our house again this time to power wash and seal driveway and sidewalk, it looks fabulous and we got the same wonderful customer service he had provided before.

Jim called back promptly, came out and looked at job. Then emailed the estimate I accepted and a date was set to do the work. He always called before he came, did exceptional work and was very professional. I have already employed him for another job.

Jim was not our cheapest bid, but we chose him because he seemed very eager to please us and complete the job the way we wanted it done.  For example, because our home is in a historic district, we did not want our stair ralings to attach to our existing (very old) porch railings.  He figured out a way to create a stair raling that is very attractive, functional, and sturdy without tying it to the existing railings, where others said it could not be done.  Jim is a master carpenter in addition to being very knowledgeable about concrete, and that showed when he created the forms.  He was always very eager for and open to feedback and did his best to make sure we were happy with the work, and we are.  It looks great!  The only downside to using Jim is that he works other jobs, so it took a couple of months to complete our extensive job.  We also had to deal with some long curing times that were necessary to do the job right.  Jim was good about communicating when we could expect to see him, and he showed up when he told us he would.  All in all, a great experience and result, and several of our neighbors have admired his work and asked for his contact information.

UPDATE:  I think the real test for concrete is how it looks after a long, hard winter.  Jim's concrete job still looks fantastic.  No cracks or chips.  The curb appeal to our house is so much improved.  Thanks, Jim!  Hope business is great for you.

We had our hot water heat replaced with a gas furnace and central air conditioning. We had holes in our floors where all of the old radiators were. There were no baseboards behind the radiators as this was the original heat system for our home. Jim came in and filled and repaired all of the holes in every room of the house and replaced the baseboard that was missing. He even was able to fix an area in a paneled room where the paneling did not go beyond the radiators! I believe most people would have said they would have to replace all of the paneling just to increase the sales. Jim is very honest and tries to work with you the best he can to meet every need. The flooring in my home is almost all original hardwood. The house was built in 1963. At the time he was doing the floor work, I was redoing a bedroom in the home that at one time had water damage. Jim was able to use the original hardwood from that bedroom to repair all of my other wood floors. It looks fantastic and you cannot tell we every had those holes in our floors.

Jim is very prompt and conscientious. He took care to install the grab bars correctly. I had another contractor tell me that I had to replace the shower surround. Jim was able to find an area to the outside of the shower that the grab bars could be installed correctly and not have to spend the $8000 the other contractor insisted I needed to completely redo the shower.

Jim did a very professional job. The man certainly knows concrete. He was awarded the job because of his low bid. The church really only received his bid, but was told by one contractor that he wouldn't touch the job for at least $10,000. Who know how high his bid would have been had he actually submitted one. The church was happy. We selected Jim though simply because of his knowledge of concrete, not to mention the fact that he saved the church thousands of dollars. Would absolutely recommend him for any concrete work.

Jim did an excellent job, very professional. He is very well versed in concrete construction. He told me once that 'he loved concrete and could talk about it for hoursand quot;. Very meticulous in taking extra care in forming of the wall and steps. While the walls and steps were formed, before the concrete was poured, many people were stopping by inspecting his work. All were very impressed. We are very pleased with the finished job. I would definitely recommend Jim for any of your concrete needs.
