Description of Work: I had ace hardware sharpen the blade on my Toro lawn mower. The mower was about 4-5 years old and it had never been sharpened. I removed the blade and brought it into Ace. I was told I could come back and pick it up in a while. I let them know I would be back in a few days. When I came back the blade was (very) sharp, and I installed it back to my mower. It worked great!

 + -1 moreI called and asked if they replaced glass in a storm window. They said they did and I should bring it in. I took the frame in, it was an aluminum storm from the lower half of my kitchen window. They said they would call me when ready. I made the mistake of not asking how much it would cost, because my son had done this sort of thing a few years back and said it would probably be $15-20. They called me and this man said, "your window is ready. I put plexiglass in it". I thought how odd since I asked for glass. Then he said "I couldn't put the rubber gasket back in" I said "this is a storm window." He said "I can seal it with silicone". I said "o.k." Two hours later he called and said the window was ready. I went down to get it and also bought a candy bar and the bill was over $60; I could not believe it. I came home and called my two sons who were both furious and said I really got ripped off. I had already figured that out. I will NEVER go there again. I thought instead of going to the big box stores I would give the local business a shot. Not again. Kay McIntyre
