I called and asked if they replaced glass in a storm window. They said they did and I should bring it in. I took the frame in, it was an aluminum storm from the lower half of my kitchen window. They said they would call me when ready. I made the mistake of not asking how much it would cost, because my son had done this sort of thing a few years back and said it would probably be $15-20.
They called me and this man said, "your window is ready. I put plexiglass in it". I thought how odd since I asked for glass. Then he said "I couldn't put the rubber gasket back in" I said "this is a storm window." He said "I can seal it with silicone". I said "o.k." Two hours later he called and said the window was ready.
I went down to get it and also bought a candy bar and the bill was over $60; I could not believe it. I came home and called my two sons who were both furious and said I really got ripped off. I had already figured that out. I will NEVER go there again. I thought instead of going to the big box stores I would give the local business a shot. Not again.
