Two no-shows by someone named “Elian”. Did not show up on time the first time, when contacted, said would be 1hr30 min late. When contacted again 1hr30 min later, texted back that he was on his way, and would be in 15 min. 15 min later, texted back to inform that that morning his boss had decided to cancel all appointments, except for Pleasantville (our appointment was at 6 pm, and he had texted us 15 min. earlier that he was on his way). The second time, around the story repeated itself: “Elian” did not show up on time, we texted him, he said he would be 1hr 45 min late, after which did not show up at all, having us wait until dark. That was after he got our address complete with detailed directions, a google map, and pictures of the property. Strange name, strange accent. Makes me wonder if this is a legit business. I do not recommend getting involved with these people. Too sketchy.

The technicians were friendly, professional, and took time to explain the issues with my trees and how to treat each one.

They came out and did a really good job. They were efficient and the price was reasonable. I am happy with the service.

Family Tree has done many jobs for me at several properties and always done great work from tree trimming to drainage work i will definitely use them again

Very professional removal at a tall pine between 2 house. General clean up of trees on the rest of the property. Made adjustments to their schedule to accommodate ours. Planning to use them again on another property.

They were very knowledgeable not only on the tree trimming but gave advice on other landscaping. Their price wasn't the low price of the three, but they did a great job, were prompt, courteous and a good value. I would definitely use again.

The crew did a great job on the tree. However, they had to cancel my first appointment but at the end of the day - not prior to the appointment. They did not spray my tree (included in my contract) and have not been responsive to me. I wouldn't use them again for this reason.

Similar to other reviews of this company on Angie's List, the work team failed to show up and had to reschedule on multiple days before they arrived late on the day they appeared. Although the price I was quoted for the tree trimming ($400) was comparable to their competitors, very little care was taken by the team in removing cut limbs. Large cut tree limbs were dropped onto fragile plants and whole branches were dragged through my back yard shredding my plantings and tearing small bushes out of the ground. When confronted about their lack of care I was told by the arborist, "We gave you a good price. If we had known we would have to take care, the price would have been higher." The owner said that they would have charged me $800 to provide the level of service I expected. I'm not even certain that the arborist remained on-site during the actual tree trimming or if the business was left in the hands of day laborers. The owner of the company "fired" me when the work crew sent him a phone video of me being upset at their lack of care and throwing branches over my back fence to prevent the crew from dragging them through my yard. I agreed not to pay this company for the work that they had done. They removed and chipped only the branches that I had not touched leaving me to handle all of the others. I would recommend my friends and neighbors avoid this company.

The work was performed in a timely manner. The price was reasonable. The quality of the work is good.

They did a wonderful job though it was slightly raining. They ground up the trunk, came in there and did a good job. They do trimming, topping, pruning, hauling and cutting fence as well. Mr. Efrain Barron is the guy and he has a machine that comes up over the stump. His machine cuts at it like a pendulum sideways from the left to right and goes down as it does that. As it grinds it mulches the wood also so it is a nice addition to my garden; that’s how I look at it. These trees were like Crepe Murtles which were two stores high. They didn’t cut the tree down but cut the trunk which was a good foot and a half. He did his job and knew what to do. It was really nice because I had some bushes in front of the trees and he dug them out for me. They were about to dig it because it was Nandina which was only about a foot and half. The tree was close to the house which is why I had to cut them. He took the bush out, came up did the grinding and when he was finished and moved the soil and bush back in which was really nice. They rearranged some bushes so they did some extra stuff. I had nothing to compare their prices with but I thought they were fine. I have complaints. They did an effective job and even helped me pull a couple of roots that I was pulling on which really wasn’t a part of his responsibilities.

I am beyond disappointed with this company.  My husband was outside working on our trees one weekend and a representative stopped by offering to have his crew trim the trees.  We talked it over and decided to give them a shot.  They weren't able to come that Saturday, but did show up mid-morning on Monday.  They spent about 60 minutes on our 7 trees (3 large oaks, and 4 smaller trees).  They trimmed a lot of the 'scrub' but didn't remove any larger branches. 
Unfortunately, not knowing the agreement they had made with my husband about cutting all overhanging limbs to be above 14 feet (our HOA's rule), I paid the crew when they finished up, but got the phone number from 'Emmanuel' and a verbal reassurance my husband was welcome to call and they'd return if he wasn't 100% satisfied when he got home from work to inspect the job.
Well, the trees were not done to my husband's satisfaction and all three of our large live oaks had branches hanging below 14 feet.  My husband contacted them immediately-same day, and they agreed to send a crew back the next morning.  Tuesday morning-no show.  My husband has contacted them no less than 5 times to come finish the job and they've agreed to come back several times in the past two weeks, but have never showen.  Twice they told us their truck broke down.  Finally, they just stopped answering my husbands calls.
I learned a few lessons here-NEVER pay a company until your husband has a chance to inspect the work and NEVER use Family Tree Service!
