He came over and I signed a contract agreeing that the job would start on Saturday. According to the contract, the job would be done on Tuesday. He worked on Saturday, though he was 3 hours late, and he asked for 1/2 of the cost upfront, which I gave him. When he arrived, he did not have all of the equipment necessary. He went to Grand Rental Station and asked me to help him out by providing a c/c for a deposit on renting the auger; I refused. After working for a few hours on Saturday, he left and said he would be back the next day. He did not show up on Sunday, so I called and left a voicemail. He texted me on Monday saying that he could not come on Sunday because his wife would not let him, as it was her birthday. He was supposed to come on Monday at 10:00 am; however, that morning, he texted and said he could not come on time, because he did not have the auger. I waited all day for him to come, but he never did, because he did not have the equipment. On Tuesday, he was supposed to come at 9:00 am, but he didn't. He texted me at 11:00 am saying he was sick, but he would come do the work anyway. I asked him if he had the auger, but he said he still did not. At that point, I fired him. He dug 7 of 18 fenceposts on Saturday. Since then, nothing else has been done.
