DO NOT use Summers of Franklin for anything... EVERY time they've installed something, have come to repair something or to perform maintenance, they've always rescheduled. When they installed the water softener/hot water heater, they had to call the manager to finish the job because the technician was unable to install it properly. It had a gas leak a couple months later and they had to replace a part to fix the leak (the garage stunk of gas). When they sold me the HVAC, they sold me a high efficiency model (at a substantially higher cost). When they came to install the unit, they couldn't vent it properly so it isn't acting as a high efficiency model. They said the temperature delta between first floor and second floor would be 1 degree Fahrenheit... it's always 5-6 degrees hotter on the second floor. Again, the installers forgot to install a gas component properly and it came lose and my house stunk of gas. They sent out other techs and they installed the gas component properly. Since they made so many mistakes, they gave us a free maintenance plan (setup HVAC twice annually). They scheduled an appointment today (unsolicited), They called last month and asked if we could reschedule. I called back, they said never mind, we've already filled that time slot. They sent several reminders that the appointment was today, took time off work, just called and said they had to reschedule. Each time the schedule and reschedule, it's a lost vacation day with the family. Save yourself the heartache, AVOID Summers of Franklin, read the reviews of their competitors and pick another contractor for your HVAC needs.

Had a coupon for a $59 cleaning with a one year guarantee that if the furnance failed anytime within the 1 year they would refund the cleaning cost. I had the Franklin location come out to clean our furnance which had been running perfectly without issues. The technician said that the burners were nearly burnt through and could crack and cause a fire or carbon dioxide asphyxiation at any time. I showed him a carbon dioxide detector that I had and he said that they tested those and only 1 out of 3 out of the box worked. He said we needed a new furnace ASAP. He scheduled a salesman to come out and give us an estimate. That same night it got down to 30 degrees and I awoke to discover that our furnace wasn't running, I called the answering service and they said the they would have someone call in the morning, no one did. My husband checked and said when the technician was here he did something to a circuit panel that controlled the thermostat. I called them a gain and the same serviceman came out. He said all he did was try to tighten everything up, he wiggle the wires a little and got it running. Later that night we noticed once again it wasn't running so called him again, he came out and said that he didn't know what to do but the salesman would be out in the afternoon to get an estimate and they could get the new furnace installed right away! After the salesman left I called a company we had done service with before and had them out to give is an estimate, it was a much better deal so we bought from them. When the installer took out the old furnace he showed us the burners and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with them! I fee that Summers was dishonest and used scare tactics to try and sell us a new furnace. Since the coupon said they would refund my money if I had any issues after the cleaning, I called them and told them that the furnace never runner correctly ever since the cleaning and I wanted my refund, I still have not heard anything or received my refund and that was 3 weeks ago!

I've used them for years. They provided three services this 2016. They do what they say they are going to do. They fit in to my schedule. My interaction with them is great. The work is just fine. I would say to go with them. I continue to use them.

For the heating the guy that came out told me all kinds of things for the air conditioner all kinds of things wrong with it needed to replace it immediately let him know he will take care of it don't even call the company so I had another company come out call Mark Four in greenwood that I have used in a year or two past and they gave it a a clean bill of health nothing at all wrong operating fine free on everything was fine so that guy was trying to take me I had no problem out of it.

When the rep came out he said the heat exchanger is cracked and he wanted $1850 to fix it. He then told me that I really needed a new furnace. Their furnaces start at $4000 and that is lowest one they have. I told him that's quite a bit of money and I'm going to have to do some research before agreeing. I then called a friend who used to be in this type of business. I had my friend talk to the rep. My friend said that the heat exchanger should have a lifetime warranty. Initially the rep said there were no warranties but needed the $1850 for the fees. Before proceeding with anything my friend said to have two other people come out and check the furnace. I called two other companies. I had one come out on Thursday and he checked the furnace thoroughly. The heat exchanger was not cracked. Then I had another company come out yesterday and he checked it thoroughly as well and the heat exchanger is not cracked, there's nothing wrong with my furnace and the rep with this company was trying to sell me a new furnace for $4000 when there's nothing wrong with it. The same rep also checked another furnace upstairs in my home and advised me that the distributing tube was cracked and he wanted $297 to fix it but I also told him I needed to check into that as well. I then called one of the other companies that checked my first furnace and they stated they would charge me $250 for the work, not $297. One of the companies that helped me with the thorough inspection also advised me that they checked out a heat exchanger at another residence where this company said it was supposedly cracked as well but there was nothing wrong with it.

They lived up to what they promised. They're very professional and prompt. We have a service contract and they came out the day before Thanksgiving and unclogged our drain.
