Great experience. I left a message for Teresa on Friday afternoon. She returned it Saturday morning, inspected our property on Sunday, had a quote to me by Sunday evening, and the job was finished by Monday afternoon. Although all our conversations were done via email/phone, she and her crew did everything exactly as we wanted. When the job was complete, she texted us pictures of the finished work. She was very friendly and courteous on phone, made good suggestions on materials, and her crew left no trace of their presence behind. From conversations we had with neighbors, her prices were very competitive with other landscapers in the area. Very pleased with the work and will call her first if we have future landscaping needs.

I had been renovating a home at Sweetwater lake for the past 3 years. The last item on the list of things to do was the landscaping. I looked for local contractors first. I called Lucy's for an estimate. Over the phone she asked if I were an "out of towner". I answered yes but thought to myself why does that matter. Teresa Williams came out on time with her kid's to give me an estimate....My goal was to clean up the yard and make it look presentable for a future sell of the property. She itemized the quotes as asked. The prices seemed extremely high and I really did not get the feeling  that she could handle the work or really knew what she was doing. Feeling like I should give her some work for being on time and friendly I agreed to have her the easiest job possible. To spead (1) triaxle of gravel and remove pavers and gravel a path to the water. She called about a week later and said that it was in progress.  She started calling me soon after the job was completed and wanted paid. I let her know that I was busy at work but could mail the check. This was not good enough for her. She claimed that she had to pay her help and needed the check like right now.  I told her that I could not make it down until Monday or Tuesday as my home is in Carmel and I have a extremely busy service oriented job.  So tuesday comes around and I am heading down to Nineveh after work to drop off a check. I had a gut feeling that I should check on the work before I drop this check off. So I did and the quality of work was not of professionals. It looked as though the gravel was put down with shovels. Typically when I have gravel done on other jobs the contractor uses a half moon shovel and re-edges the areas before putting down any material. Lucy's just threw gravel everywhere and didn't even pull any weeds. It was a bad job. Then I noticed they only put down (1) timber instead of Two. The timbers were out of level and were not secured with re-bar correctly. The path had pavers down in and Lucy's was to remove those, Stack them and re-gravel. They covered all the pavers.
After I calmed down. I called Teresa and asked her if she did this job? She answered that the trucker or somebody did this job. My guess is that her 10 year old son did it... I told her that i expected professional work for $1175.00 not half way done work. She responded by telling me that I was wrong and that job was perfect and my yard was a disaster and she was not going to correct any of my complaints. I let her know that if you will not correct these items to my satisfaction that I will not pay for the entire amount. I would only pay a portion of it. She then accused me of trying to rip her off!!!  It's funny because I'm pretty sure she was ripping me off by the looks of the work.  She then said she was going to sue me for not paying. I said I will pay you if you correct your work. She said she would not work for free any longer on my property....I told her I would pay for the gravel and delivery but the labor portion of the project was terrible. She claimed I was getting the labor for free and that the gravel was the largest cost of the job. I asked her how much the gravel and delivery was and she would not tell me. I called the local gravel supplier and as a homeowner I could have 22tons (1) triaxle delivered for $260.00.
A week later I went down to the lake and noticed that someone had cleaned up the lines of the gravel, swept, and corrected some of the flat spots and filled in near the timbers. I assumed it was Teresa. I regretfully sent a check in full for $1,175.00 even though I will still need to correct the timbers, the pavers etc. I sent her a text stating that I sent a payment.
About a day or two later I got a notice from a lawyer that I had a case pending in Brown county. I called them and sure enough Teresa had filed a small claim against me. Unbelievable! What kind of contractor does this to customers! My guess is that she has very few repeat customers. I sent her a text and let her know that I had paid her in full and she had cashed the check and that she should cancel the claim. She refused unless I paid the filiing fee of $96.00. I refused and cannot wait to explain exactly how terrible of a contractor Lucy's Landcape is. My guess is that she  rips off out of towners thinking that they have alot of Money. Now that she will not drop the case I am filing a counter suit for Damages in Hamilton county. If you have a home on Sweetwater lake do not use Lucy's landscape. Use outdoor oasis or Heralds. I have been contracting work since 1995 as a landlord and a contractor and have never been involved with someone as argumentative and non rational as Teresa Williams. Nobody has time for contractors like Lucy's. Trust me.

Theresa called me quickly to respond to my request for a bid. Met me the same day (a Saturday evening). Called as promised the next day with her bid. We agreed to accept, She schedule the job for the same week, showed up on time with a great crew and tackled the rather difficult project as the ground is rocky. The stair look great and exactly as we planned.
