Animal Boarding Kennels
We have boarded our beloved 8 yr old Husky, Nick, at least 4 times at Watson’s. Each time for no less than 6 days. Each time we pick up Nick he is happy - which allows our family to be happy about going away and leaving Nick behind. Leaving our Nick with Ron & Sue and staff gives me the same feeling of comfort as leaving your kids with doting grandparents. I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!

Perfect! The facility is immaculate and the Watsons and staff are wonderful people. My dog was very happy and clean when I picked him up; it is obvious that he and other dogs there were treated like guests at a resort. I will recommend this kennel to everyone and will be using them again. The prices are great. I’m new to the area and it is a relief to find a fun and safe place for my dog when I need to board him.

I have boarded my dog at Watsons for numerous years and have always had a good experience. Sue and her husband and staff are very friendly and accommodating. My dog does not mind "taking a vacation" at Watsons. It's very clean and organized. I definitely recommend!

Watson's is the very best kennel you will find! They take wonderful care of the animals they board. Our dog loves going there! She gets so excited to see the owners and Diane! The owners, Sue and Ronnie, have an amazing kennel. It is super clean and their prices are very fair. The dogs have their own indoor/outdoor run and a large, outdoor area for them to run. I highly recommend this kennel. There is no better place to take your pet!

We made arrangements to board our dogs over the weekend. We planned to drop them off at 8 am on Friday and pick them up at 8 am on Sunday. I was told that I would be charged for Sunday, even if we picked them up at 8 am. I questioned this, as it didn't make sense to be charged 3 days for 48 hours. The owner explained that it was their policy and I told her that I would accept it, but that I thought the logic was a little strange. The owner seemed a little put off that I questioned it over the phone, but I thought the facility looked nice so I decided to go ahead and board our dogs. I dropped them off at 8 am on Friday and the lady that took them in was very nice. I asked her how late we could pick them up on Saturday in order to avoid the 3rd day charge and explained my confusion with their way of counting days. She stated that they usually only allowed pickup in the morning on Saturday, but the owner would sometimes make special arrangements, so I asked to have her call me. When the owner called, she immediately said that she was tired of explaining her rates to me and proceeded to argue and state that if I did not like it I could come pick up my dogs. She continued, literally badgering me about it, and left the conversation saying that she didn't want to hear anything more about it from me. As a result, we decided to pick up our dogs as I was worried about her level of anger toward my questions and no longer trusted her to take care of my dogs. When we arrived at the facility the nice lady at the front desk had everything ready and I apologized to her for the drama. The owner then came out and confronted me yet again. Still badgering me about her rates and I again explained that the logic didn't make sense to me that I would be happier if she would just raise her rates or just state that she had a 3 day minimum instead of charging for a day that we did not use. The money honestly was not the issue, I was just really taken back by her aggressiveness in defending her rates. I personally do not trust someone so easily angered with my animals.

"12-16-2017 I would love to respond to this complaint, When she called to make her appointment for her 2 dogs, she was questioning me about my rates she was not happy about the way I charged. Her dogs was going to be staying with us for 3 days, I tried to tell her, we charge ever day the first day you drop your dog off and the last day you pick your dog up, This is also pointed out on my website and I have a board in my waiting room so my clients can read my charges and how they work, she said on the phone that was not how they charge as in they I have [Member Information Removed] clue who they are. I suggested there was other Kennels that might charge the way she wanted them to charge her, she might would rather go there, she still wanted to bring her dogs here, when the vet faxed her shot records to me, I called and let her know I received the shot records from her vet. And there again she started in on how I charged again, I had to go over this with her again, she just kept going on and on, she accused me of a lot of things and she has never boarded here before or even met me this was her first time. Her dates to board was drop off Dec 15th and pickup Dec 17th. I charge for every calendar day which would of been 3 days, she only wanted to pay for 2 and wanted me to change my policy and lower my rates for her, I have been in business for 17 years and never had a problem with anyone like her. I was really concerned what she might do, so the vet that recommended her to me I called them, and let them know, what was going on and she had already called them, I am sorry she feels the need to hurt me, and she also accused me of not taking care of her dogs her dogs was only her about 1 hour she didn't even know me. I could of charged her for the day she dropped them off, but because she was so angry I was concerned what she would do. Just didn't want to cause her anymore stress. She let me know she was a professional what that had to do with my rates I really didn't have a clue, And she did ask me if she could pick the dogs up on Saturday evening and I do make special exceptions if I can, but on Dec 16th I could not make a special exception for her because I was having my family in for our Christmas and I told her that she said she understood, so she said. She did say it would save her a day she didn't have to pay so there was a money issue for her in her complaint she said there wasn't, I understand she could not afford to board here and she wanted the best care for her dogs but she has to pay the rates, and there are so many other very nice Kennels out there, why she targeted me I don't have a clue. Sorry we could not change the rates for her, and that she gave me a F that was her way of hurting me and she did. she was so angry I was concerned what she would do. Just didn't want to cause her anymore stress. She let me know she was a professional what that had to do with all of her drama I don't know."

I visited the site prior to hiring them to watch our dog, Sake. I've never boarded her before in a kennel and wanted to make sure it would not be too stressful for her. Sue gave me a personal tour and told me the story of the place. The facility is beautiful and peaceful! It is out away from all the hustle and bustle of the city which helps the dogs enjoy the outside more. I was able to take her favorite bed and her food bowls so she would be able to eat and sleep with what she is used to. The kennel is small enough that I felt very comfortable sending Sake there for her first kennel visit. I was able to call while I was on vacation to check in on her and get reports. She had a great time and wasn't stressed at all when I picked her up at the end of her stay. They even gave her a "go home" bath before I picked her up. I will definitely use Watson's again for boarding needs!

This experience could not have gone any better. It was the first time my fiance and I have boarded are nearly 6 year old dog. She is like a family member to us, so this was not easy to do. Sue was nice over the phone when we were first setting the visit up. When we arrived, she gave us a tour of the facility and showed us where our dog's "run" would be. They have the option to be inside or out, all covered of course. All of the animals are separated and not co-mingled - which was a huge selling point for us since our dog is not the best with others. The facility was incredibly clean and welcoming. She allows you to bring your pet's bedding and own toys so they feel like they are at home.
When we picked her up, Sue had all of her stuff ready and waiting for us. Our dog was jumping and kissing all over her, so I can tell she treated her like it was her own. I expected we would need to immediately give her a bath, but she smelled and felt great. She was very happy and healthy. Sue even explained to us that her bone she was using was not safe. It was a nylon bone that she had began to chew down, thus eating the rubber. She showed us antlers that she sells (was not pressuring us to buy them though), and we did purchase one and throw her other bone away. She used to throw up on occasion a foamy consistency that we could not figure out. It must have been the bone Sue advised us to throw away, because she has not done it since!
I am thrilled to have found a local, honorable, clean, trustworthy, fair-priced, and safe place to take our dog. This will be her new home away from home. Thanks Sue, you are the best!

Watson Kennels was recommended to us by our friends. We did a pre-boarding visit and were very impressed with the individual kennels, outdoor run, and cleanliness. The owner and staff are very caring and quickly returned my call when I had questions. We boarded our dog there and it went very well. We will definitely choose Watson's again when we need boarding services.

They are wonderful. First of all, they are spotless. There is no urine odor and also conversely no cleanser odor that you smell when you go in there. There is no odor whatsoever. Usually you smell something in a kennel. The family lives on the property. They are just so nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

Watsons Kennels are clean. They scrub the floors down every day. Our dog loves the place. She likes to go there. I would tell people to just drop in on a kennel without an appointment before choosing a kennel. It looks clean and smells clean. It's a nice, new facility. It's on the same property as their home. They live on a farm, basically and it's gated. The building is not an old building that was turned into a kennel. They had it built to be a kennel. It's got outside and inside areas. It's clean and temperature controlled. She gets groomed while she's there and nails done. She gets pampered a bit. They're good about calling right back. Since they live right there, you can call and they'll be right there, since they live on the property. You know they love your dogs. The one thing we don't mind is that they have limited pick up and drop off times, from 4:00 to 6:00, unless you make special arrangements. We've been there outside of those posted hours and they are good about that. It's not a huge negative, because they're accommodating. If you had a special need, you can work it out with them.

Excellent. The kennels were spotless. The owners are very flexible and the customer service was excellent. The price was $21 per day and we boarded for 10 days. This was the third time I have boarded the dog there.

It is always a pleasure to board my dogs at Watson's. The grounds are beautiful, they have peacocks, geese and ducks. The kennels are spotless and odorless. I am always greeted promptly and pleasantly by either Sue or her husband. I had no concerns leaving my 14 year old dog or my spazzy, unpredictable rescued dog with Sue.
The owners live on the propery, so there is always someone there. I would recommend Watsons to anyone who is looking for a place to board their dog.
