Gary showed up on time to review what I wanted to do. I had two trees that needed trimming, One is a pear tree that had just gotten out of hand and the other is a large oak tree that I'd also just let get too big. I told him what I was interested in having done. We quickly came to a plan for the pear tree. However, on the oak, he advised me to go a different direction in how we trimmed it because it is a healthy tree and it was his opinion that what I was wanting really wasn't the best solution for the tree. So, we agreed on a slightly different plan, that in the end, I think was a better idea. I also have a much smaller oak tree in my front yard that is sickly and we talked about that and he gave me a good price on treating that with some nutrients. He also suggested things that I could do going forward to help the tree do better. He and his crew came back about 4 weeks later to do the work. They did everything that we had agreed on and his crew did a good job of dropping the limbs and cleaning up everything. The whole process took perhaps a couple of hours.

Great! We had them out to remove a small tree in our back yard. They came out on time and had the tree removed very quickly. They came back and removed everything and did great cleanup. They did such a good job we had them out again yesterday to trim our large red oak tree in the front lawn. Will definitely use again for all of our tree needs.

Greg responded with a quote right away and had the work complete within just a couple of days. His prices are very reasonable. I would absolutely use him again for other tree services.

Applied Tree Services did a great job. They trimmed several trees and removed some limbs that came down during spring storms. They came when they said they would and the price was very fair. We've used them before and we'll use them again.

This is the second time we used this company! The owner, and main tree climber, is always courteous and very professional. His crew follows his example. The owner always keeps us informed if there is a rain delay, etc.. Greg's experience is apparent when he is at the top of the tree and cutting down the limbs. You know he believes in safety first! When the work is done, the crew always leaves the area neater than when they first arrived. I would refer them to anyone!

This is the second time I have used Applied Tree Services and I am very happy with their work. This particular time I sent an email describing the work that I wanted done. The next business day, Greg called me on the phone and said that he was at my house (I was at work). He gave me a price for the job and said he could do it right then if I wanted. I approved the work and when I returned home from work that evening, it was done! The area was neat and tidy and the bush/tree was gone! I received an invoice via email and I mailed a check. Very simple.

This is the third time we've used Greg and his crew. They are always very professional, on-time, and consultative. I would highly recommend them.

The crew performed the work in accordance with the quote.  The lead man took the time to explain a few things to me on site and answer questions.  This is the second time that they worked at my home over the last 4 years.

Once we got the scheduling fixed, everything went great. This is almost a 1 man show, has a couple of helpers, but he is the only one who goes up in the tree. The delay is par for the course, however he did a terrific job on his service. He is a very polite, well spoken and careful in his work. I will use him again if he stays in business.

He is awesome! He was very professional. He is a tree climber and he's very knowledgeable about the specific trees and their growth natures. He doesn't want to cut a tree that doesn't have to be cut down so he's not an arborist, by trade he's an engineer but he's just very knowledgeable about what he does and he loves what he does. He just climbs trees and takes them down very safely and its really cool to watch him work. He's taken down probably five trees on our property. We live in a very wooded plot and he put one down that was a hundred feet tall and he climbed that and put it down methodically and our yard wasn't completely torn up and they clear away all the brush. He hired professional people to work with him and he's just very dependable and reputable.

I called Applied Tree Services and asked Greg for an estimate to remove a tree from my yard.  Within a couple of days, he came out and while he was there, he called me.  I was at work and he didn't require that I be there when he was surveying the job.  It turned out that my "tree" was 2 different trees. The smaller one was hidden by the larger one.  We talked on the phone for a few minutes about what I wanted.  Then Greg emailed me a written estimate for his services.  After I reviewed the contract, I printed it, signed it and mailed it back to him.  It stated that within 14 days, weather and schedule dependent, he would perform the work.  Approximately a week after I mailed the contract, Greg called me at work again, stating that he and his crew were at my house and were about to begin removing the trees.  He verified again, what I wanted him to do and then he got started.  When I came home from work that evening, I noticed the empty space where the trees used to be and that was the only difference.  He and his crew had completely cleaned up the yard of all of the limbs and debris, and they ground the stumps so low that all that was left was a pile of very nice mulch.  The following weekend I spent some time in the yard expecting to still find stray branches, and raking out the mulch left behind from the stumps.  Stray branches were virtually non-existent and the mulch raked out very nicely.  I expected to feel the stumps with the rake a little bit, since he said he felt he couldn't grind them any lower for fear of hurting the surrounding bushes.  I didn't feel the stumps at all, so they were ground very low.  By that time he had emailed me an Invoice which I printed and mailed back with my payment.  I was very happy with the work performed.  And I am very happy about the fact that I didn't have to take time off work to meet him for the estimate, nor while they were doing the work.  Those trees had been bothering me in many ways for several years and now that problem is solved.  And the whole process was so easy for me.  I chose this company based on an article I read about them in the June 2013 edition of the Angie's List magazine I received in the mail.  They lived up to their reputation with flying colors.  I have another tree that will need attention next year and I plan to call Applied Tree Services again.
