I will definitely be using Zehr Decorating the next time I have a painting project. Esther, the owner, is very professional. Answered all questions, stayed in communication. Her crew did a wonderful job on the exterior painting on our house and fence!

The owner, Esther, was very easy to work with. She was very clear on what they would do and answered any questions I had. She responded to my emails or phone calls very quickly. The crew was friendly and polite and did a fantastic job! Clean up after the work was excellent. Other than the house looking GREAT you never would have known they were there. I would recommend Zehr to anyone and will use them this fall for my interior painting.

Drywall - Install
Esther was very easy to work with. Her crew did a fantastic job on our drywall project. They were respectful and very good at clean up and finishing the job correctly. I highly recommend them for anybody needing dry wall work.

I had done business with another painter, who did a good job on my front porch, and that's all... and Zehr ended up doing a great job on the outside of my entire house.... for only bit more than the other previous porch painter. I will always call Zehr from here on for any painting I need done. I will call no one else, they are that good! I am very impressed with the work crew, with the way they got the job (2 story house) done, adding additional color with a green trim that the owner suggested to me in advance. Very nice, professional person. A relative of mine saw the finished work, was very favorably impressed, and asked about the company, etc. I gave my relative this site, and said that this is how I made contact, and how impressed I was with the ratings by other clients of Zehr. Best decision I made in years. If I had gone back to the previous painter, I would not doubt be paying far, far more and for a less satisfactory result.

Popcorn Acoustic Ceiling Texture Application, Repair or Removal
At a time of year when getting people to even respond to a phone call or e-mail (Spring), Zehr was easy to communicate with and responded in a sufficient amount of time. I was notified of all the potential issues beforehand. The work was done well and in a timely manner. I will gladly give them a call when the next project (soon) arrives. Thanks!

The contractors that Zehr uses are good but she is a bit hard to deal with. She is rude and confusing and out of touch with what work is going on. I would not hire her again, but I would hire the contractors that she sent to my house.

"I want to comment how grateful we are for all of our clientele including new home builders , business owners and homeowners that we have had the pleasure to work with for 25 plus years. Many have been repeated business for as long. Our most important goal (always) is a satisfied customer. Related to this review : We had a very clear contract agreement between both parties. We arrived on our scheduled time with 2 of my workers and materials in hand. Upon arrival she indicated she was confused what skim coating meant in our contract. Rather than asking before she agrees to the terms and or before we arrive she indicated she decided to hire another drywall contractor ( that arrived the same time we did) to do the same work that we were already contracted to do. So I explained to her if she isn't going to honor the contract I would need to void the contract. She discussed the issue with her husband and now decides to honor the contract. I dealt mostly with her husband (a really nice guy ) on the project quote and at completion for a walk thru as I always do before payment is rendered. He confirmed he was very happy with everything. HomeAdvisors and our company have reached out to her since we don't understand what her review pertains to. She remains unresponsive. She was offered the opportunity to void our contract but yet decides to use our services that she negatively describes in her review ?? As for our drywall crew. There commitment is with our company and could not be hired by this consumer as she mentioned in her review. However I am glad they are happy with our work."

The personal service & advice Ms. Zehr provided was outstanding. Follow-up was prompt & consistent. The project took a bit longer to complete than scheduled due to the discovery of ancient wallpaper, but adjustments were made quickly. I would definitely recommend this company & would use them again

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. The paint used on my woodwork and doors is very scratchy and rough. When you touch it is changes colors like chalk paint would. The paint store recommended a certain brand but the owner of the paint company said she didn't like it. I am not happy with it at all. Althogh she was very easy to deal with and tried to make all the mistakes good for me, overall I have to say this was a bad experience. Maybe it was just my bad luck but I feel I paid top dollar for the job and honestly if I could afford it I would hire someone else t come in and repaint .

"I always use a semi or a gloss finish on woodwork. Homeowner Requested a Latex Satin, when dry appears almost flat which wouldn't be my preference. The paint store recommendation works better for spraying We were brushing which explains that. She choose the dull finish paint. Upon completion she and her and husband stated they were very satisfied. 2 months later she writes a bad review ?? My reviews and my BBB ratings (A + ) for 28 years in the community speak for themselves . I have made several attempts to resolve the situation however this consumer remains unreponsive."

I had some repair work and our living room with the 20 ft wall painted and it was done in a day, the guys were friendly and very professional, and they were able to get a perfect patch on 20 year old popcorn ceiling on the repaired area

My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen. As part of that process, we removed a California drop ceiling and installed recessed lighting. There was repair work that needed to be done to our soffits (after the removal of the drop ceiling) as well as repair and Spanish lace to the ceiling where the recessed lighting was put in. The workers were polite and left a very clean work area. My husband and I were pleased with the results & enjoyed working with the owner of the company, Esther Zehr. If we have any other remodeling to do, I will certainly call Zehr Decorating to do the work!

I had Zehr paint the front of my stucco house. The stucco and the trim is of high contrast. Zehr did a great job of keeping the edges of color between the dark and light sharp and clear. The paint was applied well, they did a through job of preparation, caulked the project at the start and cleaned up so that no one can tell they were here. High quality paint was used and they are quick. The price/value I rated at 4.5 instead of 5.0 only because i was not expecting the cost to be quite that much. Since i didn't have quotes that were cheaper I can't really talk. I plan to use Zehr again.
