+ They came out quickly to prepare an estimate. We received 4 estimates from four different companies. Their estimate was not the lowest cost or the highest cost for removing seven large trees and trimming two large trees. + When we accepted their estimate they set the tree removal date quickly, only one week out. + They were easy to contact and responsive. + They were on time for the appointment. It was a lot of work and they completed it in a day. + They had good, current equipment. + The crew was very professional and knowledgeable. + Clean up was very good. + Total cost $4,400 + I highly recommend their work.

First of all, I received three bids and Wheatcraft was almost half the price of the other bidders. They arrived early and got to work immediately. They took down the tree causing no damage to the surrounding area. While two were taking down the tree the other two were running the chipper. They worked quickly and efficiently. When the tree was down and the chipping was done, they picked up loose limbs and raked the yard. Excellent job! I've already recommended them to a friend.

I called on Monday and had a bid by noon that day with the caveat that they would not be able to get to it until the weekend.
On Friday I called and they said that due to the rain most of the week they were behind but would get to me on Sunday morning if that worked for me. It did. All calls to coordinate were returned promptly.. Very happy with that.
On Sunday, they arrived at 9:15 and had the work done within 45 minutes. The operators were friendly and professional and did a nice job of cleaning up when they were done.
I am completely satisfied with the work and the price.

Jim and his crew cut down a medium sized maple tree for me and ground the stump.   I receive 2 estimates and they were lower by $160.  I could not have been more pleased.  Jim and his guys were very easy to deal with and made sure the job was done right.  I was concerned because the tree was very close to my house and was actually leaning toward the house, but they made sure it fell away from the house.  They cleaned up afterward and were completed done in about an hour and 15 minutes.  I would definitely use them again.

Jim and his crew did a good job and was especially careful to remove the limbs in such a way that damage would be prevented.
I would use these guys again.

The crew was great, did an excellent job of safely removing the tree from a tricky backyard area. We had originally scheduled to grind out the stump, but neither of their stump grinding equipment pieces would fit through the fence, even after removing the fencing panels. That's probably a good thing, see below. The price was reduced accordingly. They did a great job cleaning up.
I did not give the company a A for all categories as I was told that we could not discuss the scheduling date or other items until after I returned the signed bid. A few days after submission, on a Thursday night, 8:45pm, I was left a message saying that the crew would be at my house at 8:00 a.m. the next day! (I did not receive this message until much later that evening.)
I had to call off for work with no notice that morning and  811 had not been out to mark the underground lines. I also did not have an opportunity to inform my neighbors. I also had some questions about the process that I would have like answered in advance. Fortunately, I have an understanding supervisor and did not get in trouble at work .
Other than this big inconvenience, the guys who did the work were top notch and communicated throughout the time they were on site.
I would hire again, but would insist on a mutually agreeable timetable in advance.

We needed a large tree that had been planted too close to the house removed.  They cut it down, ground the stump out and removed the debris.  The was a difficult job because the tree was very, very close to the house.

Storm hit July 1st, 2014 at 2am.  Found damage to the Family Room Roof at 5:30am.  Called their emergency number at 6:10am and Dave picked up immediately.  I explained what we needed and he said they would be out by 8am with a crew.  Dave actually showed up at 7:15am to make sure the crew coming at 8am had everything they needed.  The 5 man Crew got there at 8am with bucket truck and ladders.  They not only got all the branches off of and out of the roof, but  they also did additional trimming of the tree above the roof in order to get safe access to the fallen limbs with the bucket truck and ladders.  They piled all the branches removed in neat piles so that they would be there for the insurance adjustor to see. They let us know as soon as they cleared the branches out of the large hole in the roof that it was too large a hole to just tarp over and we needed to get a repair crew in to patch the roof over their tarp.  On the 23rd of July after we had talked to the insurance adjustor, we scheduled Wheatcraft Tree Service to come back out to trim the 3 large Silver Maple trees in our back yard from over 50ft tall back to around 25ft tall to prevent them from dropping branches on the roof again.  They were originally scheduled to come at 8am, but due to expected rain that morning, Dave called Tuesday night to make sure it would be OK for them to come at 1pm instead.  I OK'd the time change.  The 5 man crew showed up right at 1pm with the bucket truck, the large shredder, and a front loader to help clear the branch piles.  We had spotted another large 30ft branch in a Maple tree in the front yard that had broken off probably in the same storm and was still snagged in that tree about 20ft up above the driveway before they got there.  The crew trimmed 2 large branches from the front tree to get at the broken branch and cleaned up the extra trimming for just $50 more than the $1200 quoted price.  They worked for 5 hours to get all the trees trimmed down to the 25ft level, cleaned all broken and dead branches that have been hanging in those trees including the ones that had been there for months before the storm,  and cleaned up all the branch piles in the front and back yards.  The yard was left looking better than it had before the storm had hit.  We have already gotten another quote from them to get 2 large Silver Maple trees removed from the front yard that are causing damage to concrete in the yard.

Their estimator got overwhelmed by storm damage calls and was unable to meet the original date, but they followed up promptly the next morning, apologized for the delay and were very helpful in recommending action to take. The crew showed up on time, were extremely friendly and courteous to a person and checked to be sure they were shaping the tree to our liking. They used modern equipment and worked safely and efficiently. They cleaned up well. I would highly recommend this company. We did not get a competitive quote but the price seemed reasonable for quality work.

In general a positive exprerience.
Company brought 75' boom truck, chipper, bobcat and stump grinder -- with 3 man crew.
Enlined boom truck between houses and several oak trees.  Trimmed oak trees (not part of bid) to obtain clear access. carefuly removed limbs, workimg thier way up the tree, then cut the trunk in segments and lowered with a block and tackle.  Dusted sawdust off roof and gutters of both houses.  Chipped limbs, ground up stumps and  clean entire area as well as the street.   Job took longer than I had estimated, but 3 man crew worked continually and independently.
Bid was written on the 14th of the month and I recieved a call prior to work beginning on the 5th.  I view this response time as adequate given non emergency service.
My neighbor requested one smaller dead tree removed, and the crew was able to accomodate his request.
We were able to use a 10% Angie's List discount.

They were delayed coming out because of the weather, but Dave kept in touch and came out as soon as was feasible.  I wanted the shape of the trees preserved, but wanted branches off the roof.  The crew did a very good job and I was allowed input during the process.  They removed all of the branches and left everything in good shape.
