They were very prompt and did a good job of replacing the broken spring on my garage door. The charged $292.50 and were here about 30 minutes to do the repair. And that price was after I gave them a 10 percent off coupon. I think that's much more than I've ever paid any garage door company to replace springs in the past, and it seems high for only 30 minutes of work.

Rebuilt the opener and even had some sensors to replace some that had been broken and are now obsolete. Very professional, showed up on time, and did a great job. Just seemed a little expensive

I had called another company because they advertised everywhere they had same day service. They didn't want to show up until the next day so I called overhead door. They showed up in an hour and they even called when on the way. I explained to Tom what had happened, he immediately thought it was a gear issue and assured me he would troubleshoot and resolve. It took him almost an hour but he replaced the gear and sprocket kit, replaced a few rollers that were ready to snap, tightened all hinges, lubed everything you should, and tested. It's perfect now! Thank you overhead door for the quick response.

Overhead door scheduled an appointment quickly and gave me a fast cost quote. Unfortunately they did not have the springs I needed so the repair needed to be rescheduled for the next day. They did fix the problem at a reasonable price in the end. They do have a coupon on their website so take advantage of that if you can.

Late Friday my springs broke on my garage door. I went to their website and put in a request for a quote. About 830 or so Saturday morning they called and quoted two prices. One for Saturday, and another weekdays. It was about$60 more for Saturday. I opted for that. The tech showed up about 4 hours later and did an excellent job.

They came out to give me an estimate and since he didn't have the right seal on the truck he was going to have them call and schedule a time to come back out. Since we were close to their shop he instead went and got the seal and not only replaced it but sanded the bottom edge of the door and painted it for us. It was a cold and miserable day and I felt he went above and beyond in his service. Job well done! We will call if we ever need any further garage door service.

Either the Overhead Door employee who arrived to assess the door opener problem was incompetent or dishonest. The hardware(arm) that attaches the motor to the garage door was broken. Employee said it could not be replaced because parts were no longer available due to the age of the opener. Said the opener motor, track, etc. must be replaced. Said I would receive a call with the estimate within a couple days. After waiting almost a week for said call, I decided to go to Sears and purchase a new opener and let Sears install it. Sears cost was approximately $375. Sears installer arrived this afternoon, i.e., Nov 10 and we went into the garage to get things going. After seeing the broken part, the Sears installer asked why I had opted to replace the opener, rather than have the broken part replaced. I responded that the Overhead Door estimator said it could not be repaired. The Sears installer asked if the motor worked and I said yes, after which he then informed me that the Overhead Door person's assessment was bogus, that the broken part could be replaced and that he had a replacement part in his truck. Took him less than an hour to replace the broken part, which fixed the problem. Cost was $80, saving me almost $300 of the Sears cost to replace the motor, track, etc. Coincidently, on that same day, I received the Overhead Door written estimate to replace the opener. Total cost to do the job was listed at $459. Needless to say, I am ecstatic that the Sears rep was totally honest with me and saved me a chunk of money, whereas, I am totally displeased with Overhead Door. Based upon this experience with Overhead Door of Fort Wayne, my advice to other members of Angie's List living in the Fort Wayne area is: Buyer Beware!! I will certainly never seek to use their service in the future and I will never recommend them to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

They do a great job. They come out pretty quickly. I have had them service all three of my garage door openers in the past as well.

One of the springs/coils on our garage door broke and we could not raise our garage door. We called Overhead Door and an appointment was scheduled for a reasonable time. Two workers came to replace one visibly broken spring/coil on our garage door. As per recommendations, both sides were replaced. One of the men was training the other, which may have added a little extra time on the job, but the repair/replacement was completed. I was in the garage at the completion of the job when we tested the function of the garage door a few times. As Murphy's Law dictates, several hours after the workers left, the garage door began to malfunction. It would not open all the way and would stop about 6 inches short of the ground. I checked the sensors and they were functioning fine. I called Overhead Door and they immediately sent another worker to evaluate the problem. Acknowledging that our opener is old and may need replaced sometime in the near future, the professional made a few adjustments (no charge) to the motor/door and we have not had any problems with the door. Overhead Door installed this original door/opener many years ago. We could not have asked for better service.

They were outstanding and are the highest rating that can be given. The door looks just fine to me, but they said it was off kilter and that there was some kind of problem with it. They said they were going to replace a panel that was part of the door that they put up. So they did. They left the door up and replaced the panel so I thought that was good integrity because if they did not tell me I would never have known. This company is honest and does good workmanship.
