I want to caution everyone about this companies pricing for parts. I was charged $474.00 for a part that costs around $99.99. "Taco valve 555-173RP" I understand that they need to make some money and they go by the national average, and you get a 1 year warranty, blah blah blah. Call me crazy, but I feel like paying over 4 times the retail price for parts is not fair. When I called in to ask about this after the part failed, I was not treated with respect. The lady tried to spin it like the valve was free and I had paid $474.00 for labor lol. The tech was not sure of himself working on a geothermal unit and had to come back the next day to fix still leaking pipes that were not properly repaired on the first visit. Overall I am very disappointed with my experience with Masters Heating and Cooling. Thanks Don Hoekema

Everything went well on the inspection of my 8-year old Trane furnace. Vinnie arrived at the appointed time. He was very polite and thorough. He even flushed out the internal condensate collector, something that previous HVAC company technicians had not done. I will use Masters for future inspections provided they send Vinnie to do the job.

The Job was finished in 1.5hrs. Material cost was minimal, yet I was charged $985. I was over charged because the boiler / heat wasn’t working and I needed it fixed due to cold weather. Also the boiler system didn’t work for 3 weeks after the repair. The boiler repair tech didn’t bleed the air out of the system after the repair so the radiators got air locked and wouldn’t heat up. It took 3 visits (3 weeks) before the system was finally fixed. I had to take multiple leaves from work to get this fixed.

I think we're on maybe an annual or an every six months kind of a thing. It's a yearly fee that we pay and they come out. I know that they're here when we ask them to be here. I know they're here when they say they're gonna be here and they don't take very long, they take their shoes off, they're just always very professional. It doesn't take long to do it; we have a newer system.

We have a rental property and the dated A/C unit went out. They came out within a day of our phone call to give us a free estimate. We initially went with another company to save a couple dollars, but when the unit couldn't be installed quickly enough we called Masters and not only could they get us their TRANE unit installed within a day of our request, they matched pricing that the other company quoted us. We went to their office to finalize paperwork and upon arrival met one of the co-owners. He went ahead and added a couple extra propping feet to put under our A/C unit to make us feel more comfortable. They were extremely professional and unbelievably timely. We would highly recommend them for any A/C or furnace repair.

Serviceman was very professional. Thought I might have a coolant leak and he took time to call in an additional serviceman for help. Turned out his new gauges were not reading properly. He was able to correct the problem and did not charge any extra. Back in November they installed a new furnace and did an excellent job.

My furnace went out in the evening, and I made a call the next morning to schedule a repair. I was initially impressed that I was able to get a repairman out to my house for service the same day that I called. The repairman was friendly and professional, took a look at the status code and determined that the furnace was no longer igniting due to it overheating, and further determined that the problem was occurring when it went into second stage heating. After taking some readings from the combustion chamber and flu, and taking off the blower supplying air for combustion, he told me that I had a cracked heat exchanger, and it would need to be replaced. We discussed whether it was likely to be under warranty, and he took down the serial number and returned to the office, leaving the furnace disassembled.
The next morning I got a call back, and he told me that they had checked the serial, and the heat exchanger was no longer under warranty. He told me that even though the furnace itself was only about 10 years old, the cost of the replacement part and warranty would be about as expensive as a new furnace, and suggested that one of the Trane models they were promoting at the time would be a good option. I told him that I wanted to call another company for an alternate quote, and let him know I'd get back with him.
I called another company that had worked on the furnace before, and long story short, they checked the warranty and told me that the heat exchanger was covered. We had one of their repairmen come out, and he determined that a failed seal around the blower that the Masters guy had removed was causing the poor combustion and the heat exchanger was perfectly fine. About $3 of rubber fixed the problem that almost cost me a completely new furnace.
The next morning I got a call back, and he told me that they had checked the serial, and the heat exchanger was no longer under warranty.
