We had Jim Davis, who contracted through Paul Davis Restoration, install a new vinyl floor in our kitchen during a remodel. The installation process was fine, but Jim put a seam for the floor in a high traffic area, stating he didn't want to but that there was no choice. It started to peel up within a month of the installation. He came out to fix it, did kind of a sloppy job, but at least it was fixed. Within another month it started to peel again and due to the sloppy patch job he did, our floor actually now had chunks missing out of the vinyl. We have tried to call him repeatedly since it started again and he will not return our phone calls. We have left him an excess of 10 voicemails. Still no response. I also emailed Paul Davis Restoration because I knew he contracted through them on our job (and I believe he is related). They told me he does not work for them but that they would get a message to him after hearing our story. Jim Davis still has failed to call us back. Now, after a major kitchen remodel, we have an embarrasing problem area in our floor and have to have a rug over it, in an odd spot, in order for the damage to not get worse.
