Greg is a professional electrician that?s all he is and it has went to his head. He made me feel stupid on the phone and then I stupidly hired him. Only for him to come into my home and tell my family how stupid I was thinking I needed this repair. He must never make mistakes. Maybe had he ask the right questions instead of having me explain the issue he would not have had to waist his time coming out. Did the repair anyway. Who belittles a customer in the first place. He must be having a bad week.

Greg was here about 3 hours and did a great job. He replaced several light switches, replaced 3 dimmers to make them LED compatible and replaced broken bathroom light fixture with new fixture. I recommend Gerke Electric for your electrical repairs.

It went very well. Gregg arrived on time and was very professional. He's had many years of experience, and we will definitely call him again when we need electrical work.

Greg quickly replaced several outlets with GFCI receptacles at wet locations so I can sell my home. He also replaced one light switch and repaired one recessed light.  I thought the recessed light needed replaced, but he repaired it for minimal cost.
I will use Gerke and Greg for all of my future electrical needs.

Mr, Gerke was very punctual and also quite informative,  He originally came to do the installations and noticed that we had the wrong type of light for over the kitchen island that would involve a large amount of re-wiring and cutting into our kitchen ceiling.  He suggested that we take the light back to Lowe's and get a different type of light which we did.  He was able to install the light and we ended up liking it better than the original.  Greg, was very thorough and professional, and also quite informative in his approach to the work he did.  He cleaned up all of the areas that we worked in as well.  Prices charged were quite reasonable.  We would not hesitate to use him again or reccommend him to someone else.

All my issues were point-by-point clearly examined and resolved/explained. I should have done this a long time ago, and thanks to Angie's List reviews, I found the right person and I'm not worried anymore about my electrical service. Gerke Electric was perfect in every way, and I would hire again absolutely. Excellent!

He called to say he was on his way, and arrived on time.  He carefully removed previous fixture to prevent damage to ceiling, checked wiring to insure there were no issues (as this was our primary concern) and then installed the new lighting. 
Based on existing options available, he offered to make changes if we so desired, and made sure we were happy with the final results.
He was very personable and friendly and did his work quickly and professionally. 
We were very happy and will hire him again for future projects.

I had set up to do this myself, then found my fish tape was not strong enough to battle insulation on exterior wall.  Greg Williams (owner) set appt. for 10:30-12:00 noon. At noon, he called to say he was running late.  He showed up around 12:10 I think.  I had prepared the area 100%, both wall holes were ready, I had the correct wire, and new outlet.  I just needed the wire to get between and out the holes.  Greg's fish tape was thicker and able to wade through insulation so the wire was run in a couple of minutes.  Since he was here, I handed him the new outlet and he put that in.  He also reinserted the old outlet.  When he needed my circuit breaker turned off and on, he asked me to do that and I did.

Here's my point:  calling at the end of arrival window to say he's late, using my wire supply, his telling me to do circuit breaker runs, and being here less than 1 hour cost me $145.00.  He left around 12:55.  To me, that's outrageous.  I didn't even get my Senior discount.  If you don't pay in full  the same day he comes, he charges you 10% additional.

Btw, he is no relation to the Gerke electricians so his "since 1916" is misleading.

He was wonderful!! He listened to my problem, replaced the socket, and looked at the lamp that caused my problem.  Very professional, reasonably priced, and an all around good guy... I would recommend him to anyone...

This was one of several visits Gerke has made to our house (all for different reasons).  As usual, the electrician was very quick to respond to our service request, was on time, very courteous, extremely helpful in giving us pointers, and very professional.  We do not do any home electrical work and are thrilled to have a trustworthy electrician we can rely on, regardless of what needs fixing.  The electrician always gets the job done efficiently and is very thorough, and considering the multiple items we have each time, is very fair with the price.

Greg was able to work us into his schedule 2 days faster than expected....it was actually just a matter of hours after I first called for an appointment!  We were so impressed with how thorough he was in helping us to determine if the problem was with the electrical wiring or a problem with the dryer itself.  After double checking all the connections and rewiring the dryer outlet, Greg also checked the electric flow in the dryer.  The problem was found to be the dryer, but we appreciated the service that he provided so much that we will be hiring him to complete the lghting & other electric needs for that room. As a side bonus, he gave us instructions on how to adjust our new front door threshold that was sticking and that worked too!
