All plants are guaranteed for a year and they will replace them if they don't make it. They did have to replace a plant, so that was great!

It was a major clean-up project in our back yard.  Since we sit on a corner lot it has gotten lots of compliments.
Prior to the french drain installation we installed 6" gutters to contain the flow of water from a very steep roof line.  This helped but
Dan's suggestion of the french drain was and excellent solution to the overflow in storms which always pooled near our basement walls.  We wanted to be sure that the basement remained dry.  We are very pleased with the entire project and continue too use them as we work to restore our lawn and redesign landscaping in the future.

Things started out OK - Dan showed up for the estimate within a few days of our call, provided a sketch of the job and a price on the spot. Seemed fairly knowledgeable and reasonably priced, although not the most personable, so after some consideration we decided to go forward. Brought the sketch into the garden center to make it an official proposal - we wanted 2 minor adjustments (adding fire pit, etc) so Dan said he'd email the proposal the next day. Got the email a few days later, called back for some detail on the fire pit (all I got on the proposal was a handwritten note: and quot;fire pit kit - installed - $...and quot;). Staff wasn't sure, had to call again later to catch Dan in the office. I then signed and returned the proposal. Didn't get any acknowledgement, so I called a few days later to confirm receipt, and asked about the schedule. They estimated 2-3 weeks out.
Called about 2 weeks later for an update - and quot;should be in the next couple weeksand quot;.
Called after another 1.5 weeks - and quot;in the next week or 2and quot;.
I understand that this business is weather dependent, but I felt the schedule should be firming up a little more by this point, so I called back looking for a more concrete date. Dan said it needs to be dry, so I asked if someone would be stopping by to assess the conditions. He suggested I call him when I felt it was ready, and he would come over to confirm. A couple days later everything seemed dry so I made the call (left message with office staff). No response, so I called again the next day (I think my wife called too). Still nothing, so the next day I went to the garden center in person to discuss. Dan still refused to give me anything more specific than and quot;it should be this weekand quot;. When I complained about the lack of communication, his response was and quot;Calling me twice a day isn't going to get it done any faster.and quot;
We cancelled the job and have found another landscape contractor who is much easier to work with :)

Dan brings his sketch book and we site down and do a complete layout right then and there with the price.. He has amazing vision for installation layout and how it will look. The work is very professional and well done. This last work was the fourth landscaping project with Galbraith's Landscaping and I am contracting another project for this coming summer.

We spent $2800 on that work and they did a very nice job. We did have one plant that wasn’t in when we did the job and that did take about 6 weeks and 2 phone calls, but we are pleased with the quality of work.
Response from Galbraith's Landscaping & Garden Centers
"Sorry for the long delay in getting you the missing plant you were owed. I assure you that my staff will address that lapse and work harder to prevent that from being repeated. Thank you for your feedback"
