Doolittle Electric

Doolittle is one of the contractors supplied by Menards and I called several on their list to have a large ceiling fan installed - a great room, about 15 feet up. Another vendor quoted $250 for a 10' ceiling (which I would have done myself) and $350 for the extra 5 feet. Doolittle quoted $89 service call plus $40 for each 15 minutes - about an hour estimated, so about $250 for the total job. The job was completed in a flash and the total bill was $169. Workers (forgot their names!) were very professional and communicated with me the whole way. They took care to protect my wood flooring and assembled the fan (and extending rod) in crazy fast time. I highly recommend Doolittle as my experience was nothing short of extremely satisfying!

Fan install was fine. The vanity light was not centered. The two guys had packed up and were about to leave when they showed me the work. Installer said he can’t go any further because the wire was too short. I had explained to him beforehand it was going to need re-centered because vanity was longer. When I called their office they gave me the run around and never returned emails or call.

We are remodeling our kitchen and hired Doolittle for the electrical that was needed. They were on time, install was fast, knowledgeable, and very professional. They took the time to discuss the job so we knew exactly what to expect. If we had any questions they were happy to answer them. Highly recommend!

Not well. The two boys who came out were not qualified to do the job. They ended up installing a new thermostat but could not even give me an estimate on the new line.

Thermostat. . . fine, though overpriced. Tile floor . . . they didn't have a clue.

Guys were very professional and efficient in performing their work. I appreciated the time they took to clean everything up when they were finished. Will definitely be having them back for more work in the near future!

Wonderful! They had all work done in two days as promised. They stayed late the second day to get everything wrapped up. They worked around me and my kids and daycare. Very polite and worked hard! Everything was cleaned up and looked great! Super happy with their service!!

Courteous, professional, and job well done for a reasonable cost. They were done in about an hour and half. I will use them again for more next electrical project.

Excellent!!!! Not only was the work done at a good price, but they took care to mound the dirt correctly to allow for settling. I couldn't tell where the work was done 1 1/2 years later when I put grass down.

They sent 2 electricians out who did a very thorough job of checking everything out until they discovered and fixed the issue. We were extremely pleased!

Doolittle was able to schedule this work at exactly the right time in relation to our project schedule. They showed up as promised and performed the entire installation in less than three days, including required trenching and connection to the existing load center in our basement. Dave and his entire team were highly professional, courteous and respectful during the entire project. My background is electrical engineering, electronic technician and program management, so I have enough related experience to recognize timely, quality work and professional customer treatment; Doolittle exceeded my expectations in every category. I periodically inspected the workmanship as the installation progressed and found that in every aspect it was top-notch. I requested special outlets that would hang from the ceiling and the result was exactly what I had envisioned - only better; they included service loops to provide flexibility and spring suspension to prevent stress on the ceiling electrical connections. I am sure that there are other good electrical contractors in the Fort Wayne area; however, we will use only Doolittle Electric for any future projects. We highly recommend them if a high-quality job is desired.

This is the 2nd time we have used Doolittle and we are very happy with the experience again. They worked with us to schedule when they would do their part in between the parts we were doing ourselves with the bathroom remodel. They kept me involved in picking the new materials and did a great job trying to get me everything I wanted. They were extremely professional and friendly when doing the work. They were excellent with cleanup, running their vacuum several times through the project and shaking out our front door welcome mat. Probably what I liked and appreciated the most was their concern for not interrupting our children's nap schedules. They made a huge effort to do the loudest parts of the project when the kids were awake and to work quietly when they were sleeping. And I felt this did not delay the project in any way.

They were able to get me scheduled 4 days earlier than the original scheduled date.  I had to quickly go over what I needed done because I ended up having to leave.  They were very friendly.  My husband was there when they did the work so I can't comment on that.  However, when I got home everything was done and you would have never known they were there.
