"In an effort to create a more esthetically pleasing installation we decided to route the refrigerant lines into the attic rather than drape them across the garage ceiling. Unfortunately by doing this we created a potential future issue if and when the roof is ever replaced. When this customer brought this to our attention, we sent a technician to his home to create a barrier so that the refrigerant lines would not be vulnerable to roofing nails. Should this customer ever need work done or maintenance done that is covered by our extensive warranty, we will be happy to respond to his needs."
The sales representative was exceptionally knowledgeable, forthright, caring, and easy-to-work-with. He spent the better part of the afternoon explaining many aspects of heating and cooling systems, offering recommendations, and doing the necessary calculations to ensure that the new equipment would be properly sized to our house and that the existing duct system was adequate. I felt that he deeply understood the technical side of HVAC and that he was very sensitive to our needs/wants as homeowners. Later, he delivered on every promise and brought it all in on schedule.
I firmly believe that how HVAC equipment is installed is more important than the brand. The "Doc" Dancer installers were outstanding in this respect. They took the time and the care to do things correctly from start to finish. They were conscientious about keeping to the manufacturer's guidelines and they used the highest quality extra materials. (When we needed a condensate pump, they installed the best on the market at no charge, and when I expressed concern about its possible noise they custom made a sound-dampening enclosure for it. One of many examples of going the extra mile.)
We were impressed with everyone's thoroughness, skill, generosity, patience, and integrity. The entire staff has worked hard to please us every step of the way. The people at "Doc" Dancer Inc really are committed to quality service and to customer satisfaction.
We give them our highest recommendation.
"Thank you (removed member name) for your most kind words about your experience with Doc Dancer. We are very blessed to have great team members, from customer service, to our comfort specialist, to our installers. We believe it is their strong work ethic and high-quality work that sets us apart from our competition. We welcome you as a new customer and thank you for entrusting your HVAC needs to us. We will do our very best to serve you in the years to come! Bill & Nancy Berning, Co-Owners"
They came to our house and set up their work/computer station in our basement and began the process of first closing all of our ducts and return air openings with foam "plugs". Once that was complete, they began taking their measurements of our "leakage" and the report they gave use indicated "219.,9 CFM of leakage" which really didn't mean much to me, but then they explained that that was the equivalent of a 41.5 inch square hole which sounded pretty significant!
They then initiated the service, which took several hours to complete. When the process was finished and they ran their analytics again, it showed that the leakage was reduced by 87.8%!
We noticed the difference very soon thereafter with much more comfortable temps throughout the entire house, and not just the basement and first floors. The air that is coming out of the vents today is much colder than it was before too.
We haven't had enough time to know for sure how much the increased efficiency will translate to lower energy bills but I'm certain it must be significant.
As for the Doc Dancer personnel, they were all very professional and courteous. I work from home and they were very good at not interrupting my work day during their process.
I would highly recommend Doc Dancer and this service.
