I don't know what to do with this company. They take responsibility for their mistakes. Every time. But it's a matter of knowing that once they're in my home, they'll be back. Very soon. Tuesday, 6/8/21, a technician did a routine maintenance of the a/c unit. Thursday, 6/10, it wasn't working. I called for an after-hours tech Thursday night. Never got a return call. When they DID get a tech to my home Friday morning, it was a seasoned veteran. He found a clogged drain. A "wet switch" automatically shuts down the unit to avoid flooding. And yes - the drain should have been cleared in the Tuesday maintenance. Depends on who you have come in from Doc Dancer, what kind of service you get. Runs from excellent to "Don't ever darken my doorway again."

Three different times provided by email/text for technician to arrive. Never satisfactorily explained why. Thermostat (under warranty) shorted out while technician was here. To deliver another thermostat the next day. 4:30 p.m., I called. Oh yes - the truck to deliver the thermostat was in the shop. They'll schedule next week. No call, no explanation.

The staff at Doc Dancer were very professional and kind. We bad received another quote from a different company and Doc Dancer provided us with a quote that blew the other quote out of the water. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and professional option for HVAC repairs.

It didn't go perfectly, mainly due to our tight attic space and dealing with issues with our older high velocity ductwork and old drain that kept clogging. Doc Dancer was great about dealing with my numerous calls and was quick to respond to make things right. They were pleasant to deal with, always friendly and made fixes to get things working great. There were a number of issues that were out of their control that they fixed at no extra charge. I'd highly recommend them.

The installers did not put the a/c tube inside the garage like I wanted. The installer said he likes to run them up to the attic , then to the outside wall.Well this cut up a lot of the foam insulation on the tube. Plus the bigger problem was that they ran the tube along the roof line. If I get a new roof, then they could hammer nails threw the roof and hit the tube. There goes the froen They tried to fix it by putting furnace pipe around the tube. And then hope the nails bounce off of it.
Response from Doc Dancer Heating, A/C & Generators
"In an effort to create a more esthetically pleasing installation we decided to route the refrigerant lines into the attic rather than drape them across the garage ceiling. Unfortunately by doing this we created a potential future issue if and when the roof is ever replaced. When this customer brought this to our attention, we sent a technician to his home to create a barrier so that the refrigerant lines would not be vulnerable to roofing nails. Should this customer ever need work done or maintenance done that is covered by our extensive warranty, we will be happy to respond to his needs."

This company really knows how to get it done. I got 3 separate quotes on the same type and brand of equipment before I chose them, very reasonable price. My salesman Dale answered all my calls, questions and emails very promptly. The installers, Tony and Jason, were very professional. My equipment looks and performs great. They explained how everything worked and followed up to make sure I didn't have any other questions. My garage (furnace location) was cleaner than before they started. I would highly recommend Doc Dancer if you are considering replacing or in need of repairs of HVAC.

I could not have been more pleased. They got my old unit limping along at no additional charge until the new unit could be installed. They worked to find me rebates and financing and were professional and courteous. From the service manager to install techs and the front office staff, they were all friendly and genuinely seemed interested in providing great service. Would highly recommend!

We had 3 estimates done to replace our 2 existing A/C units. Doc Dancer's quote was equitable with the others. Note that one of the companies gave us a verbal $ estimate but never responded with a written "official" quote as requested and promised. Dale at Doc Dancer got the official quote to us even before he had promised to do so. He was the only one to actually do the calculations on how much A/C we actually needed. Our original set-up was a 2-ton and a 3-ton unit. for a total of 5-tons. His calculations revealed that we needed 3.5 tons for our home. One of the other estimates was simply to replace the existing units ton for ton. I had read that many homes have too big of A/C units for their size and the good A/C providers will always do the calculations to appropriately size the A/C. Once we accepted their quote we had an appointment within a few days. Since we have a small crawlspace where much of the work would need done Dale expected that it would take 2 days. However they were able to send an extra person and they did all of the work in one day. They were thorough, professional and cleaned up after themselves very well. The A/C units work great and they gave us a discount for paying in full which made them almost $500 less than one of the other quotes. I would not hesitate to use them for additional work or to recommend them to others. Everyone I encountered at the company whether on the phone or in person was awesome. Some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to work with!

My pilot light wouldn't stay lit so the cleaning helped and so did the thermal couple you do have to watch Ron one of the service guys still trying to sell you a new furnace and a new air conditioner which is about a $5000 proposition so long as you have a little bit of a idea of what's going on with the furnace venue won't fall for anything you shouldn't

We realized late on a Friday night that our central air was not cooling the house.  I called Doc Dancer on Saturday morning, August 1, and the repair was completed within 90 minutes.  The capacitor was bad, and it was successfully replaced.

The office staff was gracious, organized, and efficient. They also secured several rebates on our behalf, resulting in savings of many hundreds of dollars.
The sales representative was exceptionally knowledgeable, forthright, caring, and easy-to-work-with. He spent the better part of the afternoon explaining many aspects of heating and cooling systems, offering recommendations, and doing the necessary calculations to ensure that the new equipment would be properly sized to our house and that the existing duct system was adequate. I felt that he deeply understood the technical side of HVAC and that he was very sensitive to our needs/wants as homeowners. Later, he delivered on every promise and brought it all in on schedule.
I firmly believe that how HVAC equipment is installed is more important than the brand. The "Doc" Dancer installers were outstanding in this respect. They took the time and the care to do things correctly from start to finish. They were conscientious about keeping to the manufacturer's guidelines and they used the highest quality extra materials. (When we needed a condensate pump, they installed the best on the market at no charge, and when I expressed concern about its possible noise they custom made a sound-dampening enclosure for it. One of many examples of going the extra mile.)
We were impressed with everyone's thoroughness, skill, generosity, patience, and integrity. The entire staff has worked hard to please us every step of the way. The people at "Doc" Dancer Inc really are committed to quality service and to customer satisfaction.
We give them our highest recommendation.

I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical when this service was first presented to me mostly because I had never heard of such a service before.  When they explained the service to my husband and I we were most interested in getting better cooling in our upstairs bedrooms as this had been a problem in our 2-story house (with basement) for years.
They came to our house and set up their work/computer station in our basement and began the process of first closing all of our ducts and return air  openings with foam "plugs".  Once that was complete, they began taking their measurements of our "leakage" and the report they gave use indicated "219.,9 CFM of leakage" which really didn't mean much to me, but then they explained that that was the equivalent of a 41.5 inch square hole which sounded pretty significant!
They then initiated the service, which took several hours to complete.  When the process was finished and they ran their analytics again, it showed that the leakage was reduced by 87.8%!
We noticed the difference very soon thereafter with much more comfortable temps throughout the entire house, and not just the basement and first floors.   The air that is coming out of the vents today is much colder than it was before too.
We haven't had enough time to know for sure how much the increased efficiency will translate to lower energy bills but I'm certain it must be significant.
As for the Doc Dancer personnel, they were all very professional and courteous.  I work from home and they were very good at not interrupting my work day during their process.
I would highly recommend Doc Dancer and this service.

I am a diabetic and when I called them, my air conditioning had gone out. I had the option to get it fixed or replaced. It was about 20 years so I decided to have it replaced. I called them on Thursday and they came on Monday or Tuesday. They were very quick. I had a slight problem with the air conditioning going out this summer because mice had chewed through the wires. They replaced it without any charge. I would definitely use them again.
